Honda do not have amazing build quality. Better than average, not amazing. I have worked on Accords from 1985 to 2002, nothing stellar about them. And just like a SHO, mod it and it will break stuff. I have owned plenty of SHO's (10 or so), in all states of carying condition. If you take care of a car, it will take care of you. The last two SHO's I have sold, with a combined mileage of over 450,000, were testamants to that fact. Treat a Honda like crap, and it will crap on you. The legendary reliability of the Honda nameplate is just that, legend. Better than your average FORD? Most surely. But lets not fool ourselves, they are still cars, and they break down a plenty, just like ALL cars.

Tim, I agree with you 100%. I was more so pointing out the ignorance of some folks, Who hate a specific brand of car, For no particular reason. Its annoying. I've been driving a 99 Accord for the last week while my Skyline is in the Shop, The car has 80,000 Miles on it and damn Is that thing solid. Its been crashed twice to! When I shut the door on that thing it just feels solid, No rettles or anything, Somthing my Perfectly maintained Origonal owner (Well, 2nd if you count me) SHO could not even touch (before its wreck ;) ).

My buddy at home owns a 92 accord, Its been jumped, Dropped in to 2nd gear at 90 mph on accident, Been through 3 wrecks and hasent had a single oil change since he has owned it, And the thing is still ticking away at 236k and with the majority of older honda's being driven by young kids these days Im amazed to see as many as I do on the road they just beat the living crap out of them!

Regardless, I think the true definition of a Car enthusiast is somone who can appreciate all cars for what they are. Saying a car company is crap because "They suck" Is just ignorance and thats what I was trying to get at ;)

haha my cousins g/f has a 01 honda civic and the thing has been wrecked more times then the insurence company should have covered... seriously shes done everything from 80 down I80 into a wall in the snow (shes ********) to hitting other cars.
not a durable car but its been rebuilt more times then anything should ever be..
hondas re reliable if you drive them like a old lady and do maintence but as tim mentioned its basicly one of those things where if you treat it good it will treat you go no matter what it is.

if you wanna go for durable i had a older subaru and never even changed the oil in that freakin thing and no matter what happened it started right up.

i dont like ford for many personal reasons... how they build them what they use etc. i can make a large list so its not like when i shun ford out i do it from no experience or whatever... god ive fixed more fords then i care to talk about so i mean i learned what ford does and how cheap they go threw my own personal experiences.

lesson of the day people... love your cars and they love you back haha

that guy is getting annoying...

hey jayparrot... read the rules of the forum... and im not posting this in every thread youve ressurected and they all seem to be about forced induction, and more than a year old... its great that youre doing searches... but why are you bringing these back... if you have enough skills to do F/I then all the information you will need you can find by searching... if you cant find enough... then you dont got it!
