Jason is the only one that has ever mentioned this, and I have never seen any actual proof of this.

I've seen the dyno chart as well... 470 whp on pump and 520 whp on race gas with a little more timing.

And just for you TONY, this was at SHO Shop, at sea level. No 5500 ft. elevation corrections. :)

I've also driven the car in question... It's decent. :nut:

?huh? My car is not fun??? Dang!!

Really, other than the trans (which can be addressed by shot peening or by getting the SHOnut trans) and halfshafts (again, SHOnut remedies this) there are no factors with a high HP SHO. I have not seen a single well tuned engine destroyed as a direct result of boosting. In fact, they probably last better than your average NA SHO, simply because most of them are taken care of very well (adequate maintenance and fluid changes, etc). My turbo was just as trouble free as my other SHO's (again, short of the trans always breakin'!!)

Not fun i mean , you know your gonna win any road race....fing very high HP cars like this , to have more of a thrill (close races) is getting rarer.

Corey, your setup (my old one) with headers & true duals was on-track to make approx. 450 at the wheels (with a non-slipping belt).

You want to look into better pulleys, perhaps an 8-rib conversion (has been done before), get those headers & a really good exhaust setup. Use that TwEECer setup too - my graph was with the original SHO Shop chip. After that, look into replacing the S-Trim with a T-Trim perhaps. You also need to get a larger air filter than the one I had (see the model # in my classified ad if you want a reference). Per K&N's engineering team, they estimated requiring approx. 880cfm to make the most out of my setup; the filter I had flowed 802cfm, from memory. The tiny little one that SHO Shop shipped with the package flowed 262cfm from memory.

On top of that, you could spray, but that'd be Longhorn-Style Cheatin'... :corn:

Yessir, Stage 2's. There's some room to play there too. I also think he'd benefit from a charge air cooler, once you get to that point. Also, if you're serious about that level of power, get Josh's gearset - I still stripped the trans at the track during a warm-up lap without the headers & true duals, and they were cryo'd too.
