I'm not sure which model it is,its a 1993 3.0 sho 5speed. When its explained like that it makes more sense, all the stuff that is integrated into that harness is what make it look so bad, like all the ABS wiring.I know what big 16 pin connection your talking about neer the trans but there is another smaller plug that goes through the fire wall on passenger side too

Look on page 89/103 the light green/red wire from the alternator goes to the warning indicator bulb, alternatively you could put a 510 ohm 1/2 watt resistor n the circuit. Or just take the one off from the dash.

Any plug you are unsure just post a picture and we can figure it out.

What does this big plug control?

Do you mean the big hole in the middle? That's the bolt that holds the two halves of the plug together.

No the whole plug, that is to the bigger harness that I don't really need right, the harness I need is the 1 that is wrapped around engine and PCM plugs into correct?

Correct.

As for the other one, that looks like the plug for the power distribution. Just going by the picture.

Black/Orange - Cooling Fan
Yellow and Yellow - Ignition Switch
Purple/Orange - O2 sensors and powers a bunch of other stuff

So basically provides 12volt to pretty much everything in the engine compartment.

ever played with a top? or a gyroscope? that big prop is a huge gyroscope hanging off the end of your crank, and when you turn the boat, all that force to turn the gyroscope is generated by the main bearings on the crank. I'd get a gearbox post haste.

I've thought about that but I see direct drive car motor boats all the time.they last a long time...hopefully I won't have any problems though
