Just replaced the front motor mount on my '93 ATX for the second time in 4 years. I don't drive the car hard or put many miles on it; maybe 8k per year. This time, the mount was literally separated into upper & lower halves. There's a threaded connector internally that was sheared. Looks underdesigned; think it was an Anchor? Is there a better fix out there...perhaps a solid mount?

Shosource offers a reinforced front mount for mtx. Not sure on atx and mtx mount differences. Id email Mike at shosource to see if he has a front mount for atx

I heard Anchor mounts are not the best, but there is not much else out there. I came across a NOS Ford ATX front mount a few years back on ebay, so there may still be some out there.

There might be one on ebay now, but you would need to check the part number. The first four digits are different from the part number listed on Sho nut website, but the seller shows it can be used on a Sho, search for "sho motor mount" on ebay

Make sure you are getting the Solid mount and not the Hydraulic mount(liquid filled). They offer both for the ATX and the Hydraulic ones will not hold up.
