New to SHOForum - 1st post. I been combing the forum for several days looking for information, but I don't see it. Here's my prob:
1995 ATX 108k miles - Rebuild trans 45k ago.
Was driving fine, then one day on the freeway it started slipping.
Now reverse works fine, 1st and 2nd in Manual work fine, but in Drive it will only start out in first then when it goes to engage 2nd, nothing but slip. It will accellerate, but slipping the whole time (only driven it once doing that).
I pulled codes. 645, 646, 647 Incorrect Gear Ratio obtained for 1st, 2nd and 3rd gear.
Rather than just assume it was rebuild time, I had a spare VSS, TPS, and MLPS, so i swapped them out. No good, it does however do this: when you put it in DRIVE, it engages into 1st, then revs, releases, then clunks back into gear again. everytime. 2 engagements one smooth, one rough. I also flushed the tranny and put in a new filter. still nada.
Is it tranny rebuild time? I have a spare Valve body, but i'm assuming it's gunna take more than that. UGH.
Sorry for the long post, I appreciate any insight you guys might have!
