If you haven't already, buy a cheap tire gauge and check the depth yourself. Even with improper wear, surely you'd get more than 3K miles.

I have a pretty good mechanic locally that I trust. Been using him since I was 16. Of everyone I've dealt with, I feel like he's the most honest. I still like to do my own maintenance. That way I'm not being overcharged for labor and I know I'm getting what I paid for.

This week has been a maintenance week for the 'ol truck. Oil/filter, coolant, transmission fluid/filter, spark plugs, air filter clean/recharge, and even replaced the ATF for the power steering. I'll still let my mechanic rotate my tires. I need to invest in a good torque wrench. I don't trust the cheap HF one I have.

Yeah I work on my own car all the time im usually the only person I trust to work on my car, they are the same tires, they still have all my paint markings inside the treads all the way around they are pretty bad, took a look last night

SHO’s been on the back burner, and still will be for a few more weeks/months, but popped a tire the other day so in the meantime I installed Discunzolo mounts, changed oil, trans, ptu, installed 4theworkshop drain plugs, extended ptu vent line and then installed 2 new Firehawks.

Can you get a picture of the can for me? And did you do any prep work to make it “stick”
I wiped it down with acetone. The more coats the darker it gets. I did three light, and one heavy with the black and gave it five coats of clear. The dark goes on a bit splotchy but smooths out pretty well after a few coats.

Installed H&R springs today! Picture isn’t the best since I finished at 11pm.

Getting the first strut back in was total pia but the second one went in quick! I’ll probably cut the rear springs down next week.

Incorrect or different rear shocks??
Assuming both are H&R's?

Super curious what mine is gonna look like now!

Still some factory rake even after the h&r springs in the rear. I bet even Roman has a tiny more wheel gap in the rear. Also Dadmobile has the thinner sidewall 35 tires so that also adds a little wheel gap. I cut my H&R in the rear and it looked much better after. I’d say still has a tiny bit of rake to it even after cutting them.

So just throwing this out there...nkt sure how viable it would be, but folks put Ford Flex H&R springs on the explorer to lower it even more...

...I wonder how much of a match or how viable that could be to use them in the SHO...idk...probably not, just thinkin out loud..

I can’t imagine them being shorter than sho ones. That wouldn’t make any sense haha but that might be exactly why they do it.
