I don"t discriminate. Love me some yoga pants. Wish I could find a pair that fit properly.

You should have seen the hilarity that erupted in my house when my GF realized that my leg was bigger than her waist.....

These 1/8 mile results are not from my car. Timeslips are from a friend who has an A10 car similar to mine with DRs. My tracks are not open.

I also have an 1/8th mile track and the fastest mustang I have seen was a twin turbo 5.0 with DRs and it ran 7.6. Most of the mustangs that I race are in the same territory as me (some with DRs and some new with the A10) that run from 7.9 and up. Your friend got a good time nonetheless , do you know if anything else is done to it?

I haven't paid much attention to SHO timeslips lately. They must be faster than any that run at my tracks. Yes, about any Mustang with a manual is fair game. Their gearing is all wrong and their performance is very much dependent on driver skill.

If you go up against one with the 10 speed auto, you better have a pretty exceptional SHO. Bone stock 10A Mustangs run high 11s in decent air. Tune only and tires put them in mid/low 11s. More bolt-ons or forced induction easily make them 10 second machines or even quicker. With the right tires, 60 foot times are in the 1.5- 1.7 range depending upon mods so they aren't exactly lacking from a dig, either.
I have to agree with you, I had a 17 PP tuned. I traded it for a 18 Lincoln MKZ AWD. The Lincoln is faster stock than the Taurus was tuned. I now have a Livernois tune on the Lincoln and it runs 12s. I also have a stock 18 GT auto and the Lincoln does not hold a candle to it. Sooo long story short I call BS on a taurus taking out a 18+ mustang.

Mine does all day on the street. At the track it is different. I will also take what you say with a grain of salt because of the LMS tune.

You have some b... to come here, first post and treat members as liars. You joined two years ago and never posted anything?

Read a little and learn that the main reason SHO's beat Mustangs, Chargers and Challengers is because of the AWD power train, most drivers can't get grip and are left behind in their own cloud of smoke.
An SHO will struggle to beat a V8 Mustang with the proper tires at the track, but that is not what it is being claimed here. Now, I did it, the video proves it.

The mustang driver was sleeping. I know all about AWD, Having had 3 typhoons and now a 3.0 awd lincoln. If your old enough to know what a typhoon is.If not look up Syclone/ Typhoon {GMC} Oh I have been racing cars for 60 years.

Two posts... wow !!!! This must be quite a day for you, so you have been racing since you were 12??? You are 72 years old and have been racing for 60, right?
BTW, you also haven't posted anything in 6 years on the other forum:

I do not care if he was sleeping or if he drove with the parking brake on, I beat him, period. And many many members here have done it on the road.

If you have been racing long enough as you claim (skateboards don't count), you should know that winning a race is not only about how much power you got under the hood but how well you can transfer it to the ground.

I love the Cyclone and the Typhoon. However tuned 13 PP eats 18+ Mustangs up on the street. At the track they nip me at the end.

Got my ass handed to me in my old Mustang (Roush supercharged - 475 RWHP) by a girl in the same car and a few bolt ons (maybe 300ish). I was going for new tires later that week (nearly bald) and she apparently had better ones. I didn't think she'd go on green but she did so I had a delayed reaction. Smoked through 3rd and by the time I'd got traction she was letting off.

Never been more embarrassed but it goes to show that traction sorta matters.

Close I was 13 and The truck is spelled Syclone. I now all about traction I had a 13 roush stage 3 with the phase 3 upgrade. 675 hp The 18 auto stock will beat it on the street. Also I know how to drive , having taught pursuit driving in the Police Academy for 15 years.

I am baffled the by 1/8 mile times quoted here.....unless DA was like 6000.....or someone spread oil at the starting line. I was running 7.7 bone stock on all season tires. A forced induction or E85 tuned A10 on DRs is typically in the 6s at my tracks. (Usually 1000 - 2000 DA air)

Granted a prepped track is different than a street surface. Also, some tracks have better prep than others.
