Honestly getting the FoST, made me appreciate my SHO even more. I was getting bored with the SHO and then knocking the trans out. It really made me gunshy about beating on it because it was my daily. Since I don't daily it anymore, it is a treat to fire it up and beat on it.

I realize Summit is probably short staffed right now due to C-19 but it's pretty obvious they'd rather lose an order than check on it for a customer. I ordered an exhaust cutout on 4/15 and it was supposed to ship on 4/23. I started calling last week and the automated service just directed me back to the website, which had no information. I started trying to call again yesterday, again with no luck talking to a human. I chose the text option and 4 hours later, I still had no response at all.

So I called Granatelli thinking Summit was closed, 3 rings, and a human answers. No switch board, the guy who answered was ready to help me. He was super helpful. He couldn't find any open orders from Summit and confirmed all orders for my part had been shipped weeks ago, even going as far as to say which date and location he thought my order would have shipped to. I asked if he thought they were closed and he's like "I hope not, they've been sending in orders pretty consistently."

Around hour 5, Summit finally responds to my text and simply states they're still waiting on the manufacturer even after I told him Granatelli has shipped all of their open orders and has them in stock now. Instead of looking into things, he simply reiterated that he doesn't have the part yet. The only thing he actually would do is cancel my order.

So I called Granatelli back and the guy matched their price with no hassle and shipped my part yesterday. I called back today to check because I hadn't received any emails. Turns out one digit was missing from my email address. A different person answered today (on the first few rings), fixes the email in their system and gives me the tracking #.

I don't usually vent about companies online but I really feel like Summit dropped the ball here and Granatelli did a pretty good job of picking it up. I hope the part works as well as their staff.

I got the Dual cut offs. Program them to the car home remote buttons they work pretty good. They will be installed when I put the new motor in.

I bought the wireless FOB for mine too. Summit shipped this immediately. I'll end up using the remote since I'm using 2 of the 3 garage door buttons in my car.

Painted used Rust-Oleum liquid wrap there gloss is sooo nice but I didn't buy enough cans do to previous attempt seemed to only need two but Walmart was sold out of the gloss black and I wanted some flake so I went with graphite peel coat it didn't turn out as good as I hoped but it will work.

I originally was going to buy hyper dip but it's at least $200 for shipping and they didn't tell me I had to email them as to where my order is at now that it was back in stock

Also filled in paint chips with some g1 color has the flakes

I will be polishing it in a few week still need to remove some.rust chips on the roof I guess they don't rust protect that.
I was trying to show the paints far from perfect even though it still has lots of gloss

Looks very very good! The roof might actually be a mild steel "cover" like it is on the Edge, where it can be removed and replaced.

I recommend calling the manufacturer with the part # and ask if it's in stock or on backorder. If your experience is like mine, you'll waste a lot of time contacting Summit. Good luck!

Curtesy of one Bradley at AJP Turbo, XDI 35! A fresh 93 octane tune, and the Fuel-It ethanol sensor for future e30 tuning.
Just went for a quick ride to make sure everything was in order. Not to bash, but his base 93 tune before a single revision feels stronger and runs better than the fifth revision on my Unleashed tune.

Over the last week I received my complete brake order to take my ‘10 to the ‘17 PI brakes from the master cylinder to the pain in the hands emergency brake levers /springs and 2 kits of G2 paint (brackets were black and calipers blue).

Over all, it took a lot longer than I expected and I’m still struggling with a spongy brake pedal but boy does it look good... sitting on jack stands in the driveway. I’m sure the HOA will be around soon enough to complain.

Search terms aren’t showing much in the way of brake bleeding struggles and etc so I’ll just start a new thread in the MX and Troubleshooting forum.

Use the power seat to help with bleeding.

Start the car, use a rod/prybar between the seat and brake pedal. store memory position. Move seat forward to press the brake pedal. Store memory position. open up brake bleeder, release air. Close brake bleeder. Press memory one, them memory two (or if your really lazy you could program your fobs to preset 1 and 2. I would give each corner at least a pint of fluid if you disnt prime your new master cylinder.

You may also want go on a short test drive on a dirt road to purposely activate the abs to try and work any air out of the system or into the calipers.

My son and I used the vacuum bleeder together and it went well with the exception of the bubbling bleeders.

The next day I did nearly the exact same thing you said above except I used a foam roller in place of the prybar... I got more air out of the system and eliminated the bubbling bleeders.

We don't have any dirt roads readily available right here especially with me not feeling comfortable enough to get it out of the driveway. The FORScan discussed in the maintenance thread really seemed to help... but not enough to drive it yet.

Finally got the '17 SHO back (~26k miles) after getting the "necessary" work performed after purchase...



started with the basics, hopefully all platform approved fluid changeouts: PTU RDU (Redline Lightweight) Coolant (Motorcraft) Oil (Mobil 1) Trans (Mercon LV) Brake Fluid Flushed

then went to the performance side (it's a daily driver tho): New Plugs, Thermostat, v17 LMS Tune (Swapped out from my '18 ExSport) Corsa Cat-back Exhaust (Black Tips) Hawk Ceramic Brakes & Talon Rotors, H&R Lowering Springs...last was tint 20%. Nate (Service Manager) at SweetCars in Fort Wayne, completed all the service work while Brady oversaw the detail side-full Paint Correction and CeramicPro Gold Package application.

Certainly have a long way to go to ever touch the likes of most on the forum...but now I'm stuck on tires. Continental ExtremeContact DW06 or ExtremeContact Sport? Looking at getting a 2554020 with Curva wheels-C300's 8.5x20 (if they ever get them back in stock) Not sure on the offset..any help from the Pros on the forum would be dearly appreciated.
