After watching Jordan's newest video on him laying pipe and modding his exhaust.....

I've not only learned something very new about him, but I also thought to myself "Wow, that explains A LOT! Suddenly it's all clear now".......

Nissan don't know crap about Turbo motors or exhaust.....
I mean given I had an x pipe previously, but I feel the y pipe flows much more smoothly because I feel like x pipe would have some slight flow disruption depending on the angles. Anyways my old exhaust was/is trash and ******* heavy so this while looking weird is a much needed improvement

In that case... A lot of things in small places... Lol, I've usually got at least one innuendo in each video. Shows my age and general lack of self composure ha! People don't realize the level of messing around I actually do.

I'm not planning on it. I might give the dyno near me another shot not to mess up the dyno session but it'll be hard to know the comparison to OEM 10-12 manifolds and non ported GH Turbos when I'm those aren't the only changes made. For those that don't know I also added the EPP Dual CAI, MSD Coils, XDI35 and DW LPFP at the same time. It wouldn't be a fair comparison but it would show improvements for sure.

For those that don't know, my only Dyno session ever I made 463/569 with stock manifolds, stock HPFP, stock LPFP, GH Turbos, catless downpipes, custom Exhaust, 3bar, meth injection and 93 octane @ 19 psi AJPTurbo tune.....ran it twice and then flashed an 18 psi tune for 418/521 on a mustang dyno. 18 psi was so much lower I think bc on initial flash my OAR resets low and takes some driving before it gets back to .96. We finished after the 18 psi pull, all multi gear pulls too that the dyno tech wanted to do. My first time I agreed to it as that was what he wanted to do. But then he printed the graph out and it said a different set of numbers...extremely low numbers. Like how is that even possible? Anytime I've seen someone get a Dyno done the graph or print out is exactly what the dyno screen results say. It printed out I was 379awhp and 406 awtq on the 18 psi tune that the dyno screen read with WCF correction 418/521. It printed out my WCF corrected 463/569 was 399awhp/434awtq. Massive....MASSIVE discrepancy. Has anyone ever heard of this before? Why would it print out different numbers that were never seen or calculated at the end of each pull on the dyno screen?

To me the dyno session was completely worthless since the information collected was inconsistent, although my two back to back runs of 19 psi were the same result on the screen at the end of each run. The dyno tech even changed the load on the car, first run 3500...second and third run at 6500! Said it would build boost faster and hold it longer. AJPTurbo cringed at that and when he saw my datalogs of the runs and you see load spikes of 211.....it was full tilt! Full everything.

Initially the dyno tech was apologetic about the print out numbers, said sorry about this I thought it was fixed....said it happened to another customer...said he would send me the correct print out. He goes up front of the shop, leaves it to me to back out of their really odd oriented back garage door, not to mention driving over dyno rollers is weird as ****. To leave I had to cut super sharp to avoid a van parked parallel to the door like 15 ft away...car is like 18ft, so I crank the wheel sharp and boom hit a truck axle, scratches my front chin spoiler....like WTF! Why was that there?

So my experience went from fun as **** to downright horrific and unpleasant in a matter of min. The whole point was to collect data on a mustang dyno that does read lower than most but I didn't expect huge number differences from a click of a button: PRINT??? And then the truck axle and damage. I showed the dyno tech and he didn't charge me the $150 it would be for the dyno. He also never sent me corrected numbers, in fact he claimed he sent me the file from the pulls but never did....and asked if I had the car making full boost...bruh...my tuner cringed at my logs...it was full everything.

So even if I do go back...what am I comparing numbers too? What good are those numbers compared to anyone else on either a dyno jet, dyno con? When you consider all the fluctuations and inconsistencies ....to me that takes away from what I originally thought dyno numbers are. One thing that is non negotionable is a quarter mile time. That's the ONLY thing we DO compare each other to.

Wish my dyno session just printed out what it said and I would be fine. So there ya go, as of this post, 2nd World's Fastest Ecoboost SHO only had 399\434? If that were true that should be a record itself. Clearly untrue. So I'm not running to any dyno anytime soon. I'll see you guys at the track.

SBS for me such a simple question became super complicated response...for me anyway. Just being real.

So my car has a little over 110k miles on it...seems to me, replacing the turbos is likely on my...3 year plan?

But to be honest, I can't even see them! Does the motor have to be pulled to access them?

Motor pulled no, just everything around them has to be removed. LOL.

Are there "while I'm at it" things that could/should be done at that time? Like new radiator, motor mounts, etc?

Motor mounts I would do. Other items are hit and miss.

No. I just did it off my back in the garage with the front on Jack stands. To get set up to "play"...I removed my front bumper so I could lean all over the front and not care as much. I also ended up with a bench in front of the car, a lot of work from up top had me with foam pads on the head...basically kneeling and inside on top of the engine. Remove the passenger wheel, remove both downpipes. Remove passenger axle. Once you back the axle out of the bearing in the Knuckle, there are two bolts supporting/bracing the axle. Believe 13mm. Remove those two bolts, get a pan ready you'll lose about 8 oz or so of tranny fluid, axle pulls out real easy. Now you have A LOT of room to work in...even so it's cramped. Remove the strut tower brace, you'll need it gone to get extensions and for room to work on removing the manifold heat shields to gain access to the turbo ******. Remove your entire intake from up top and plastic IC piping...except the IC to TB pipe you can leave. You'll also be leaking anti freeze a good amount, maybe 6 or 7 ounces. Wrap the coolant lines in some sort of cloth or rag to stop from dripping all over. On rear turbo remove the brackets holding it up. Remove coolant lines and bottom oil lines first....then once you unbolt it from the manifold you'll have one oil line on top of the turbo to undo. It's a T40 hex. Then you can fandangle the turbo out straight down. Don't forget to pull the waste gate hose off the waste gate. Also there's a black engine bracket on the rear all the way in the way, take that off too. The front is much easier, again you'll need to remove the manifold heat shield to unbolt the turbo. Rear turbo the heat shields is in two seperate pieces. On the front I didn't need to remove any turbo support brackets.

You'll need an arsenal of extensions..2ft extension came in handy a few times, swivels....short sockets, deep sockets, 1/2, 3/8, 1/4 and adapters so that if need be you can attach 1/4 to 1/2 if you need to. Impact guns, 90 degree attachments, pneumatic air impact ...with all the money I saved I ended up expanding my tool supply...it's extensive now. If the car isn't your daily I say go for it!

Replace all oil, coolant, turbo to manifold and turbo to dp gaskets as well as dp to exhaust gaskets. My oil and coolant lines were already replaced last year so I only replaced their gaskets.

Everyone is doing cool/fun stuff to their cars and I'm stuck working on my honey do list. I laid 2,400 lbs of concrete (80 lbs at a time) this past weekend for a sidewalk and will probably end up laying another 2,000 or so next weekend. I was so tired Sunday night I didn't even unload the trailer. I just rolled it in the garage and dropped it, along with the tools. Now my car has to sleep outside.

Hopefully the sunburn heals before I have to do this again.

Dude, I hear you! I had to build a privacy fence before I could do anything on my week vacation last week, used up my one decent weather day on it. Its an investment, though. When it comes time to drop 2 grand on the car, and the wife is like, "how about...NO!"", I'll be all like, remember that fence you didn't have to pay workers to build for you?

That looks good man! I've never seen anyone ground them with metal posts but I like it!

2 days labor and all I have to show is 16' of walkway. Eventually there will be a raised flower bed against the house and I'll tend to the yard once I'm finished tearing it up.

Oh yea, and we planted a garden. Cause you know, doomsday is coming and there won't be any food left.
