Finally. 401A, 2015, 108k. JkSY3Hd

Looks like the 3rd owner but Holy shit it does not seem like it. The car is absolutely flawless. It does appear to have a rear oil leak which I think is the valve cover. There is new RTV on the front VC, and newer on the front cover. So I think chains have been done.

This car is completely stock.... What's are some Basic mods and maintenance I should be doing?

Changed oil today and plan to do ptu and trans next...

Thanks

Welcome to the SHO.
I’d also do RDU and coolant flush, with 108k thermostat while you’re at it. Do trans drain and fills at oil changes, and get on a schedule for the PTU.

After all your fluids are fresh a tune will be the best bang for your buck. Do your research on this forum, it has a wealth of information, and choose a reputable vender.

congrats on the purchase!

What are your plans for the car? Catching up on basic maintenance is a must, then decide if you want power, fuel economy, or both.

If we can help at Ortiz Performance with parts or tuning support, please let us know :)

So far the only thing is the washer spray doesn't work. The dealer gave me 3 keys but 1 works. Since they're a chevy dealer they probably just gave me a bunch of random ford keys they had. I'll program those at break...

I've heard that anybody 'tuning' these is just reboxing someone's canned tunes. Is that true?

Not true. Truly the only box tune is LMS...stay away.

AJPTurbo, Gearhead, and Ortiz all have custom tuning available. However, that means you will have to datalog and work with over a couple of revisions.

Washer pump is usually an easy fix, a new pump is $8 and can be done without pulling the bumper, though taking 20 minutes to pull it will make the job easier and less of a mess. Check to make sure none of lines to the hood are crimped first, as this will not only **** the current pump but keep the new one from functioning as well.

As yea whoever told you that is pretty out of touch. I can't speak for everyone, but our tunes are highly customized to your vehicle through datalogging and revisions. We've been tuning Mustangs and late model Fords since 2008 and we've been in the Ecoboost game since 2012, SHOs specifically since 2017.

PTU fluid was not clean but it was definitely recently changed. Magnet was full of metal as expected. Only sucked 1/2 quart out. Refilled. Will drive 1k and re do it.

Ton of oil on back side of motor. Looks like the cac tube and also oil weeping from intake boot on rear turbo.

What's best budget CAC pipes? It also looks like I have oil all around CAC itself...?

Does the Crankcase venting on these cars need work also? Lots of oil on turbo inlets.

First things first....there are no budget items on these cars.

The best hot pipes are from EcoPowerParts. However depending on how you set them up they can range from $475 to $900+ depending on options.

Yes these cars need crank case venting. A catch can is recommend. I personally believe URP has the best one.

“there are no budget items on these cars.”
Couldn’t be more true. SHOs are a very small market and there just isn’t a huge ‘aftermarket’ available to us.

With that said, the parts that are available for the most part fall into the you get what you pay for department, and are of excellent quality and function. EcoPowerParts charge pipes and intakes, UPR catch cans, PPE downpipes, GearHead’s intercooler and turbos, SCT tuners, XDI fuel pumps, to name...well, almost everything are all great products.

Messed around with forscan... I cannot get adaptive cruise to work although it's now on my dash but not selectable. Also what's the PID that honks the horn when you leave the vehicle with it running? That needs to go.

The AWD gauge is pretty cool. I'm a diesel mechanic and hours mean everything to me, I was tickled I could turn on the hour meter but ****** that it was 0 hours. I hoped they internally stored the actual hours but guess not.

you need physical modules and sensors to be able to run adaptive cruise, it's unfortunately not something you can just activate.

Good Luck with the SHO.
I have a 2015 also which I bought two years ago.

Catch can is an easy first mod, mine is from LMS.
I also use Sea Foam in the gas tank to help reduce carbon.

EcoPower Cold Air induction and Turbo piping.

I plan to get the PPE Engineering downpipes:

I believe they may be the only street legal pipes that won't throw any codes.
If you are going catless you have many options.

I am on the waiting list for Gearhead Intercooler and will also get a tune from them after install:

Good Luck
