Yeah, I have a strong feeling the 67 degrees helped that time A LOT. What was the "official" 1/4 mile ford claimed?

id have to look into it. I dont think they claimed a 1/4mile time but they claimed a 6second 0-60 in the 2013 video with carl edwards.

I know how hot the trans and ptu get on a 110 degree day. It bothers me.

Ive seen significant temp drops from not having cats and having the downpipes wrapped just right around the ptu. I cant see actual driving temp but with an infared laser temperature device ive tested it stock and without cat and even with wrap and the temp is alot lower at each stage of upgrade. After running it hard for awhile and pulling over over quick and checking. Just the casing, i havent figured out how to check the fluid temp in real time yet without an added on temp sensor. Not sure on the tranny though

The PTU temp on the PP cars runs about 10 degrees warmer than the coolant temp from what I have seen.

My trans usually runs 100 to 110 degrees above ambient temp year around. Hottest I have seen is 219 cruising at 80 mph when the ambient temp was 111.

Id have to see what gauges work on my obdlink so i could try to see mine while driving. Its nice being able to see intake air temp but with my roush intake and stock intercooler no matter what season it is, it is always the same as the outdoor temp. Nice and cold in the winter lol was reading around 25degrees on the intake today driving

Uhh i been like a member like right after you was a member. I been here long enough, ive shown my normal stupidity but i still try to help out. I just didnt like being called out by mystic so im sorry. Im on many threads trying to help out everyday. Ive dumped 13k into this car in the past couple months. Not to mention all my other upgrades. I got around 20k in the car in a year. I dont care about my name but you aint gettin my address lol. So heres my proof of money in my car, beat that lol and i even got a **** of a deal because its my familys shop. I think the engine list price was around 7-8k but he installed it for free, its just written up funny when install price should be added to engine cost from Ford Racing. Well ebay has engines for cheap and im not sure on the labor cost to install but thats a cheap option. I didnt need turbos as mine were still in spec, i just wanted new ones to go along with new engine. You need an engine right? Or at least a fix? Or was that someone else i follow on youtube ;), hey at least you got it fixed. I was hoping it was my injector when cylinder 2 wasnt working. Until i did a compression test:(

Come on guys lets get back on track. We almost had something with that running full e85 part.
Personally I'm pretty interested in that for a whole lot of reasons. I wanna see what kind of power that can make, how reliably, and the whole just fill up with e85 and not bother with mixing would be awesome.
I kinda want to work on a safe E85 tune in stock form just for fun. It would have the hp:torque ratio and the shift pattern of a diesel lol but should still be fun to drive.

In stock form it would need somesort of ethanol sensor that flexfuel vehicles have to detect the amount of ethanol and to adjust the tune software for air fuel mixture and timing. In PA where i live e85 pump says like 50-85% ethanol and really dont know what your putting in for ethanol content. So kinda like the octane sensing the car does in stock form or with matts tunes itll need for ethanol i would think. That and the fuel system before the engine needs to be anti corrosive and im not sure how it is outside the engine bay. Hey im still learning how these new time car engines and computers work but maybe im on the right track sorta. Unless the ethanol content dosnt matter

I think you're looking at the wrong sensor. You want IAT2 as that's manifold intake temperature, IAT is just past the air filter and should always resemble ambient.

Oh id have to check but i know at idle today it was reading like 120degrees.

Yea i did have the wrong one, i had the one right behind the filter. I guess that would read the temp. Dang and i thought i wouldnt need a new intercooler

FUEL-IT makes a great ECA that keeps you within spec. No way to integrate it with the factory pcm but fuel trims are able to keep it happy.

Factory flex-fuel detection is inferred and sensorless and scary AF in my opinion. Essentially the ECU detects the fuel level has gone up, then monitors for changes in fuel trim for such-and-such amount of time and makes an educated guess at what's in the tank. No thank you! For me it'd either have to be manual testing every time I filled up, mounting a dedicated sensor and gauge (not my style), or buying drums of commercial E-85. None of those really appeal to me, so I'll have to get mighty bored before I actually pursue such a thing.
