With a good crank position sensor signal, yes, you WILL see a tach needle move even when cranking.
I have no idea. My car wasnt starting. The tach not moving during cranking just helped pinpoint the problem along with some help on here I didnt have to throw a bunch of at it. As a bonus I'm no getting the check engine light so I assume my 411 code is gone too.if a bad crank pos sensor fails to make tach move whats it mean if the tachometer fails? obv could be the circuit but any other ideas? does the glitchy sticking tach casuse any issue for the drivability of the car?
