So... quick question. I just came back from a week long vacation to NYC and my Gearhead tune/tuner/MAP sensor is all here. However, it seems as though the instructions to download and install the tune are specifically for Windows devices. Is there any way to load the tunes using an Apple desktop? Or is it only possible using a Windows computer?

PS, I've been drinking tonight, so the simpler the better

I think their software has only windows support. If you google sct for Mac there seems to be ways around it found on other forums.

There is no direct support for SCT on Mac...

To get around it, you can use Parallels or VMware Fusion or dual boot your Mac with a windows OS if it’s supported on your Mac.

That’s what I do...

So, how does it run? Inquiring minds want to know! :)
Wish I could tell you. I uploaded the tune last Friday night, drove it lightly on Sat so everything could relearn. Then went to work on Sunday and wouldn’t be home until Friday. A buddy of mine drove me down there (we carpool and it was his week), so the Taurus sat home. Until the wife decided she was going to take it out on Thursday. Needless to say, she couldn’t handle the extra spike in power:

It’s at the dealership now getting repaired. Never even got to test it out...

GH vs LMS (v11)

Total Autozone parking lot talk, but according to GPS times, the two are about neck/neck out to about the 1/8 mark. GH does pull a little harder afterwards.

Still waiting on a chance to put the two tuners head to head in the same car, on the same track in the same conditions when I can make a trip to the track soon.

I will say that when steadily on the throttle (not flooring it, but casual driving) the GH tune is healthy and on point. Where as the LMS tune seems to have a little *studdard* here and there. The GH tune only shows this once in a while when I'm gingerly poking myself around at slower than walking speeds.

From beyond that, the GH shifts seem to follow the nature of being on point also with zero issues currently. That itself is different from the shifting issues I was having with LMS (not constantly, but definitely apparent) when spirited driving was the cause.

Hopefully this weekend I'll be able to get some data logging for the tune WITHOUT the intercooler upgrade and send it over to Matt to have it checked over. Also hoping to the GH intercooler installed this weekend and data log that as well.

All in all, I'm extremely pleased with Gearhead and Matt is always willing to answer questions. So of course, if I'm in Texas again, I owe Matt a beer and a handshake.

Yeah, it really sucks. The damage wasnt major, but it makes you feel a certain way when its someone else that damages your car (wife is absolutely fine, it was a 10mph collision).

Not even sure if I want to keep the car when we get it back. The wife was supposed to get the next new vehicle in the family, but at this point I’m kinda thinking... she broke it, she bought it.

Been thinking about replacing it with a manual ATS-V sedan...

Bet those feelings may change when you are able to beat on it.
