So, after almost 2 years of ownership, I finally pulled the trigger on a tune for my 2017 SHO. Ordered a SCT tuning device and custom Ecoboost tune from Gearhead. Very excited for it to arrive so I can fill out the info sheet and send it back to them! Everyone says I will wish I didn't wait this long, but I'm kind of glad I did as Gearhead is sort of new to the market. If I had pulled the trigger earlier, I would not have had them as an option.

So far my best drag strip run is a 13.42 at 105.92mph on a 2.08 60ft (K&N drop in filter only). That was in ideal conditions (-700ft DA). Will definitely be heading back down this fall when the air gets cooler again for some comparison runs.

I just got my GH tune in my email. Does anyone know if they go back and forth with you for data logging, or is it one and done?

No logging needed. The logging file he sends you is so you can configure the sct with the right parameters In order to log if you wish.

Wondering this myself... hopefully when cooler weather arrives, I can get with him and know for sure.

In the interim... I haven't let the Charger owner know that I'm gonna be tuned when he decides he is gonna run me on the street. Will be an interesting experience!

Got the tune all loaded up and there is definitely a noticeable difference. The shifts aren't as smooth as I thought they would be from all the reading I did on the forums. Car is loaded up with 93 and saw the car adding a half a degree of timing up top, so no knock. Boost looks to be around 14lbs.

This is just a theory, but it's possible that stock shifting is a bit smoother than how most tuners' tunes are. I think most of us went from being tuned by another company to gearhead, so we are used to harsher shifts. I would hate to put my car back to stock just to see if I'm right tho. That's just no fun.

Shifts just firm, I'd expect it if I never read prior reviews. Definitely not complaining. Only problem is I can't stop doing WOT pulls. Feels much stronger. Good stuff.

Not sure how many miles you've put on it, but typically the trans shifts a little harsher the first several miles. Eventually it'll adapt and smooth out, at least my LMS tune does.

No matter what tune you get, the shifts are always harsh at first. My LMS tune was crazy harsh and almost immediately when back to stock! But thanks to all the amazing people in this forum I realized the tranny is in learning mode for a while then the shifts work themselves out. Trust me!.... you will love the GH tune! I've had it now for about 3 months. When your tranny is done "learning," put the shifter into "S" and enjoy the rev-matching as you slow down, so cool! And the shifting is blazing fast and not harsh at all - I don't even feel it or can tell it shifts, except for the engine rpm, etc.

About how long does it take for the tuner to arrive after ordering? I placed my order on Thursday (Apr 4th), but haven’t received any kind of shipment conformation or anything. Will it just arrive out of nowhere one day, or will they email you a tracking number or something of the sort?

I never got a confirmation number but the tuner arrived in a few days.
