Not only have they taken shots at Brad, but when Brad responds to them....Crickets. My tune only E30 car makes more power (in hot conditions) and is faster in the 1/4 mile than the majority of LMS Meth Cars. It is also safer and has not had a single hiccup with the every tune I have loaded.

Yea ive been emailing him, he lives pretty close to me. Small world. I didnt even know anyone tuned for the ecoboost that is literally down the street from me. I wish he had a dyno though to see what is being put down. He rents one so i guess its not a big deal. Im using him and will try his E tunes. Ill try to get a E85 tune or even E30 is good since all fuel grades are available to me

Im talking with brad currently about the arp upgrades. See what he thinks about them over oem. I need new ones anyway. Might as well spend another 1500$ on them

Haha, he said sho forum is not professional like ecoboost forum. I agree. Ive beem part of ecoboost forum for years when i had my ecoboost f150 in 2012. And at least they speak the truth of lms on there, mostly everyone here that stands up for them gets private dyno time with them while others are told they dont dyno customer cars unless its a installed package

It is boring over there, but a plethora of knowledge. I like jumping back and forth.

Yea me to. I donate to both. I learned alot from both forums and the people get upset with me but not too much. So i donate because i feel bad getting free knowledge and taking cheap shots at lms on both

Sorry for the delay in responding, but I think there are some misconceptions on what the problem is vs the fix, and what safe is vs unsafe.

Firstly, the HPFP is the absolute only way to make the same amount of power in winter, as you do in summer without potentially exceeding the fuel system's capability. We've been saying that for years, even before we had an upgraded hpfp that if you want a tune for max power in the summer, it will be out of fuel without an upgraded pump come winter. This isn't a secret or something we have been shy about, so it definitely shouldn't be a surprise.

Secondly, we have done, and can do, specific cold weather tuning, but it will have power removed. This has been offered out to people, but almost everyone turns it down because others are claiming to not have the problem, which in their mind means it's in the calibration. The calibration isn't the direct cause of the drop in fuel pressure, but adding the power, while commanding the amount of fuel necessary to keep that power level safe CAN make a situation where the HPFP can run out of steam. Also, since some people happen to have a stronger pump from the factory than others, it furthers the misconception that it's in the calibration.

Thirdly, in that case, we do have our tune dump power out, but it's reactive. The pressure has to drop for it to do this, and it has to happen for a certain amount of time to ensure it's not just a spike, which means that you can run into the misfire conditions, which in turn can create a "no shift" situation because it can't rev past this RPM range due to the misfires. This is why we are so adamant that the fuel pump is the proper path for these problems.

Our point is everyone want's to have their cake and eat it too (making peak power year round), but sometimes that means you're going to need the HPFP upgrade. The only alternative in our mind is to pull power back to reduce the amount of fuel needed in the first place. Other people's methods of keeping the power level high, and commanding less fuel has a much higher chance of issues that keeping the proper amount of fuel in the engine. Lowering shift points also does not fix this issue, it just masks it since you aren't in the range where it acts up, but then you're shortchanging the performance of the car since your'e shifting too early for optimum performance.

No they dont have a video. I have a video and have not uploaded it or any other videos on the drag strip. Im working with brad on a tune. He is in the same town where is actually live in Cranberry pa, i only bought a second house in Hanover pa to be closer to the Air Base i work at near DC. I talked to the guy i know today with his quick sho and it is full fwd tranny and all. I thought he turned the rears off when running but he actually has a fwd only 2010 taurus with a 3.5l ecoboost swapped in with the transmission modified

This is amazing. You claim a tuner friend of yours put down a 10.8 in a SHO, and they say they have no idea what you are talking about. You have a video to verify your claim, but won't post it. What a joke.

I’ve had your guys tune and I did not have any issues with mine, that being said the issue I have trouble with was the potential for problems in cold weather. When filling out your guys tuning form all you ask for is my mods and type of fuel I’m using. You don’t ask if I live in extreme cold or say if I have “x” issue after the tune I need a more conservative tune. You guys make it appear this tune will fit for all cars. Given the choice of a race tune vs a safer for all conditions tune, I want a safe tune. I don’t care that it doesn’t make the most power.

But not given the option when buying your tuner makes it appear 1 tune fits all, that does not seem to be the case. I think you guys should update your tune form with more options and disclaimers of potential issues with some cars in certain conditions.

I aint got nothing to prove. Plenty of fast cars out there. You guys must not get out to local drags often. Gotta watch others instead of getting all hype about your 12 second sho. Money will get you a car as fast as you want

I don't think it is too much to ask of members when making performance claims about their vehicles to post results/technical details/and or proof. When the rest of the pack has to fight to get into the high 11s on street tires, OF COURSE there is disbelief about high 10s. And still be a DD? Thats would be awesome.

Absent details, these claims are nothing short of the sniper tactics used by a certain tuner. Compare to the volume of data bpd1151 has provided, available for everyone to see. And with the new intercooler, he is not done yet, by far. I suspect high 10s for his SHO are easily within reach.

I seen a fwd buick close to the weight of the sho tuned and supercharged 3.8l put down like 10.1 when i was there and i think he did break under 10 eventually. That why i was telling him to do something to eliminate the rear spinning. Maybe take that rear driveshaft off and wider tires up front. Would save some weight and prioritze the power to the front only. I pulled the front driveshaft off the awd astro and it was fun in rwd and i felt the difference in quickness and top speed. Just make sure you really tork it back down when you re install it. I didnt and it vibrated like crazy, the radio fell out

Thanks for posting the video! About 4 min is the gen 2 SHO, but was there a drag run in there? I know the MTX was lighter and faster than the ATX stock. With a block upgrade and a Quaife it was an experience, and not even supercharged.

Still looking for clips of any SHO running the times that Zach and Jason's collaboration has produced ...

Would also be interested in the SHO engine mated to a FWD or RWD trans ... In an SHO.

The intake was facing backwards and we had to custom make a pipe for it. Not ours but we tried it on a 94 project car. Never finished it. Tranny and rear issues and lack of time

And yes me and my buddy swapped the engine into that with a refrigerator and speakers and 2x4s but i think we had to use a few 2x4s because the engine and tranny came out together. Car is sitting in my barn covered up for the past 5 years. I cant find the title for it and the car is in pieces

I got a 90 or 91 5 speed manual and rear from a falcon that measured up the best for the taurus and i think the tranny needed a plate made for it and something needed done to the crank on the sho engine for it to mount up good. Its been awhile. Maybe a project for my retirement in 35 years

With the issues appearing lately we have offered everyone with a new tune request as well as posting several times on the forum an option for an extra tune if they experience these issues that will dial back some power and those who have had issues and used this latest tune have not had any complaints since

I'm at a loss for words at this point. Gearhead gave me a tune with more power and it runs perfect in all weather (temps) conditions - no missed shifts, no WOT hesitation, etc. It is possible for a plug & play tune to work perfectly!
