My 2013 Taurus SHO blew up last night full exhaust E-blend tuned by BrewCityBost so now im in the processes of getting a used engine. Temps were cold but dont know if anyone else has had this luck and know where to find a good motor?

Did you happen to be monitoring fuel pressure and knock? Meth?

Seems be a few engines that have crapped the bed in the past several months....

I will open an appropriate beverage an toast the motor that gave its full measure in the pursuit of performance, keep us posted on its replacement. I cant find anyone I trust to install my down pipes much less a new motor, So Good Luck to you.

Was the engine warmed up before you got into the throttle. E blends and cold weather dont mix so well.

Yup... E mixes require more fuel, which if you are tuned, needs to be accounted for in the tune... if BCB did not know you were adding E to the mix then thats no good... Without proper tuning for E and mixed with colder temps you are asking for trouble... ask me how I know... lol

Perhaps but the dealer can detect if the car has been tuned even when returned to stock. maybe when my warranty runs
out I will give a whirl.

I wouldn't concern myself about a dealer finding out. I have been tuned by LMS for the last 15k miles and I don't drive easy. I currently have 70k miles on mine with 30k left on the warranty and running the 93 race tune. I promise, if you wait until your warranty is over and then tune, you'll be kicking yourself for not tuning it sooner!
