Awesome read thank you. From what I understand the latest revision of the MDesign also has a larger filter now. Not sure if that change was after these tests were done.

Went to the dealership to get my strategy updated... Apparently my strategy was the original one from August 2009...

Dude who did the up date said he has never seen my original strategy before.. and it took multiple step up upgrades to get it up to date... Kinda like DOS... When you had the step up disks so you could install windows 3.1....

Is there a point to doing this? does it smoothen out shifts and stuff?

Sooo from what my tuner said, my strategy had tables and setting that did not exist or were locked out that the other SHOs of the same MY had available. I asked if he thought an update may allow for additional control and open up those setting and tables. He seemed to think it might... And I have had problems getting a good tune on this car... And that might be why... We will see...

I drove it home, and damn it's pretty. Thanks guys for you advise in helping me identify the PP items and the other RPO's I had questions on. Hope to pay it off in a few months if the overtime holds out, then it's play time! 2013 Ruby Red Metalic dark tint, PP, 33k miles. $26,900. Dave Sinclair Ford in St Louis was awesome.

Sooo... tuner said no additional tables became available... total bummer... but my latest 0-60 was 4.8 seconds for a non-pp! Pretty happy with that...

Street time or track time? With brake launch, even on a non-meth/non-upgraded turbo SHO, you can hit 4.0 sec 0-60 (93 oct). So may be more goodness to come!

Any idea what the average street 0-60 is for a '13-'16 PP, with 3 bar and 93 Oct tune with brake boost?

Street, no brake launch, a slight uphill grade almost not noticeable... I live in the mountains so finding a flat stretch of road where I can get up to 100mph is just about non-existent for datalogging. IAT's were in the 120's at their lowest so it was a bit hot.. not making excuses mind you, just giving you the picture.. was stoked with a 4.8 0-60 on the street in those conditions...

Good question, I am not really sure. Most of the street numbers I have seen have been put up by an MKS or non-PP SHOs. But if the R&T or C&D tests are to be believed, the difference would be around 0.1 second or so less for the PP for the 0-60. Remember though that, along with the gearing difference, the PP brought with it summer tires from the factory, while the non-PP had all-seasons in those tests.

Makes sense then! Probably closer to 4.5 (or less) under better conditions :thumb: Seems an Aeroforce gauge is pretty accurate for timing purposes when compared to track timing. Hope the tuning device is too!

Yea.. I run BFGoodrich G Force Sport Comp 2's... great summer performance tire... I would never put them on daily driver.. you would be replacing them every 20K or so, the suck in the snow, and comes with a disclaimer not drive on them when the temp is below 40F(I think).. but hot damn they stick to the road in the summer.. might be over **** with AWD.. but no tire spin off the line..

Have the same tires on one of my cars, great dry weather traction, good on wet roads, yet to face a winter, let's see LOL

Completely and utterly useless in the snow.. when I had the Michelin MX's I could drive in snow up to the front spoiler in the SHO without a problem.. made for a lot of fun in empty parking lots.. ever seen a 4400lbs car drift at 50mph in the snow?

Put the comp 2's on it... had about 3 inches of snow.. and couldn't get it out of the driveway onto the street... my neighbors had a good laugh... we finally were able to push it onto the street.. out of the drive way.. got it going and managed to make it to the grocery store for coffee.. never again though..

How did you get the stability control off in the non-PP to allow you to drift in the snow? When I tried in my non-PP it would **** the engine and all I could do is momentum slide sideways and the car wouldn't let me have power to drift. This is my one absolute hate about the car and I seriously cannot stand it.

Besides pressing the button... carefully fluctuating the throttle... there were a couple times where the traction control got in the way.. but once I was able to feel that line between TC kicking my ass and being able to ride that curve it wasn't bad. My buddy has or had a video of it from his phone.. Ill see if I can get it.. we were just having fun.
