hey guys I just traded my 2011 with the lms stage 4+x tune on it for a 2013 today that has 28,000 miles on it it is a certified used car with the power train warranty the car is gorgeous. This digital rpm guage seems to slightly move up and down all the time even when the car is at idle.....I layed into the gas just now from 40 and it was going what looked to be up then down then up until it shifted again made me think the tranny was slipping. .is this guage more sensitive than the analog one I had on my 2011 and the shifts in this car seem mushy idk if their is an issue here or its just because I was so used to the 2011 with the tune on it. . their are no codes in the vehicle and also I don't believe premium fuel was used in this car I just topped it off with 93 I don't know if that would have anything to do with it as well please help me! I hope nothings wrong with this thing

Congratulations on the purchase! Not sure how bad the tach issue really is but the shifts on a stock car are going to be way "mushy" compared to a tuned car. Perhaps it's just that? You could check the fluid level in the tranny just to be safe. I would drive easy until it needs fuel. Fill it up with premium and pull the battery for 45 minutes or so. Then drive easy for a few hundred miles and let the tranny relearn. That has helped others in the past...

Thank you I will try that, I would imagine if their was a tranny issue they wouldn't have sold it to me I would hope and gave it the 100,000 mile power train warranty..... But I'm going to try to drive her easy til I can refuel then put premium in it. It's such a nice car I got the Ruby red.....is the digital rpm guage delayed sometimes? That could be it as well because as I was on the gas I was watching that too

x2 on above. Premium fuel, then tune should help with the shifting, if all else is good. If there's a "loss of power" or "limphome"-type feeling, check for loose clamps on hoses/turbo piping, even splits in the hoses.

Everything seems to be tight I suppose I just got used to the tuned car and I have to adjust to the digital tack

Another "quick" check you can do is the plugs, see if they are too worn or show signs of lean/rich conditions, or maybe the plug boots/wells have signs of oil on them.

I ran a tank or two of regular gas and notice similar symptoms. Switched back to premium and I no long have jumps in the RPMs.
