I have been running an Unleashed 93 3 Bar tune for about a month now. In most occasions when I'm at WOT there is a "stutter" in the 1-2 Shift...
I've not had a car that had wheel hop so I don't know what it feels like.
To me it feels like the transmission is slipping, but not sure. If anyone has experienced this please let me know!
Thank you

Alot of people seem to be running into this stutter. Changed my trans fluid and it went away for me. Others are getting shift pressure adjustments (something Torrie will do for you upon request).

I'd try the fluid change first (as I'm curious to see if it helps you)...and then adjust tune if it didn't go away.

Mixed results so far.

With these cars, best to say "research is ongoing" :) But I strongly second Rich's suggestions. Also, could you tell us your wheel/tire/tire pressure setup? And is your SHO's PCM calibration up to date?

Torrie has changed it twice for me twice now... What is a ballpark number for the fluid change?

I have the 20' "flowers" with decently worn Michelens. Pressure is 35. I bought the car 3 months ago so unsure on the update...

Road surface temps? Cold weather does tires no favors ... Depending on the particular type of Michelin tire you have, you may need new tires. Have you tried returning to the stock tune, and seeing if the problem persists? Reminds me, do you know if the halfshaft TSB has been performed on this (non PP) SHO?

You can get a peek on TSBs applicable to your SHO here:

My car does this more now that the Michelin tires are about at the end of their life. It did it occasionally when I first got my tune and as the tires wore it just happens more often. I don't think anything is wrong it's just not able to get traction under some conditions. I'll get a traction light if it spins real hard sometimes also.

Does everyone think that this is a real problem with the trans?

I'm pretty sure there's no "shutter" with my '13. It's simply wheel hopping trying to get traction IMO (and is kind of backed up by the traction light coming on during rare occasions as I said). I could speculate that what 13black is "feeling" is the same...just plain old wheel hop from a lack of traction. I certainly don't want to lessen his fear of a trans problem but it would be interesting to see a data log when it happens. I would think the line pressures would be within a "safe" range and not spiking up and down causing a "shutter".

In the end a trans flush certainly isn't going to hurt anything obviously.

I wonder if someone could stay with him or just in front (in an adjacent lane obviously) to see if they witness any loss of traction during the shift.

Normally this is only experienced when the TCS, RSC and SCS are all activated. The ECU is sensing wheel slip and is intermittently taking control, resulting in "wheel hop". Notice that the TCS is on and activates itself at about the same time that the "shutter" happens.

I have experienced this with TC on and off... The most aggressive of the times I've fel this was TC off going up a decently steep hill with the temp at 40 degrees. (Taking extra weight and traction off the front end.)

My 15 w/PP does wheel hop every once in a while. Usually when the temp is lower then 50 degrees.

Most if the time, all of the nannies are turned all the way off.
