Hey all. My 2016 SHO has a pretty decent jolt on the 1-2 shift at high RPMs. I'm having a tough time determining if there is some sort of issue or if I am just overpowering the tires and the torque smoothing system is kicking in. Here is as much info as I have:
Car has 65,000 miles, trans fluid was changed by Ford at 59,000. I am currently running a gearhead AO tune (with the supporting sparkplugs and sensors) and Tony D trans mounts, no other powertrain mods. My tires are Cooper RS3-G1 (sportiest all-seasons I could find, stock size) with 7,500 miles on them, and suspension is stock (non-pp). The car has zero other symptoms or problems I am aware of. PTU/RDU fluids changed recently, all other shifts are smooth at high or low RPM, no CEL, no extra vibration or rattle (besides the NVH from the mounts).
I got a quick video of the shift today, ambient temp was 32 F. Car was warm, tires and road were not. This is what leads me to believe I may just be overpowering the tires, motor is happy in these conditions but grip is minimal. It's a bit hard to hear on video, but hopefully someone can let me know if that is about what our shifts are like.
I did notice one other similar thread posted recently, but that was an older car that had no mods and a few CEL/other issues. TIA to anyone who reads and lends their advice, hoping you can talk me off the ledge but you can never be too paranoid with this car.
