oversize tire size for stock rim

+1 for 215's on a slicer.

Kumho AST's are the worst tire I have owned.
I had a set on my Civic and couldn't wait to burn them off.
ASX is a decent all season tire.
SPT is a good summer only,recommended.

Off topic, but if you wanna know a weird size tire-- those for the15" basketweaves, stock size 215 65 15 and mine have 225 65 15. Talk about limited selection.

This is the pain I am feeling. I wanna keep my original black baskets but there's nothing I like in that size. I think going down to a 60 increases the selection a little.

How was the road noise on these? Heard they were pretty noisy.

I don't remember any excessive noise with mine, but then again I haven't used them since last spring. What I DO remember is the squishy feeling they gave the car thanks to the 225/55 size. I noticed a big improvement in steering response when I switched from them to my winter tires (215/60). With both sets mounted on slicers, the SPTs might have higher ultimate grip potential, but the snows have better response and feel.

yes 225-50s on slicers definitely make the sidewalls ballon a little... i have 225-50 coopers on mine at the moment
