Tripped 5000 miles on my '12 tonight when returning from the Tar Heel's bball game ........stopped at the grocery store and the bagboy was raving about how Ford has stepped its game up....said it was the best looking Taurus he'd ever seen.

I went to the dealer today to get my VIN and they had a Taurus sel in the showroom Candy apple red just like mine only slower. I did open the hood. Not as fancy looking as my GT500. I hope they make the motor of the SHO look nicer.

Nothing exciting under the SHOs hood at all bud. I did a similar scheme to what another guy had done to his. It helps IMO.

The "manage the wait" program that Ford used a decade ago for those of us who ordered 2002 T-Birds helped. Maybe they should do the same thing today with the SHOs.

In both cases, the car turned out to be WELL worth the wait.

SHO is an amazing piece of technology.

What's the usual time frame from build date to dealership? My dealership is about 30 miles from the assembly plant. I hope not long as we are getting close to Christmas.
