okay, so after far too long, I finally replaced that friggin ABS module. Everything's workin like it's supposed to now, but if one decides to perform a John-Force style launch, the car won't shift out of 1st until it's bounced the limiter a couple of times, and when it does, it's almost reluctant to do so.

under normal driving, it shifts fantastic and with no muss or fuss. I reset the idle as per instructions on V8SHO.com. Does it just need to re-learn WOT shifting maps or something?

Mine does the same thing. I have to shift in 2nd about 6000 so it doesnt hit the rev limiter, but sometimes it still does. If I leave in D, shifts fine. Who knows.

Back when I did a few runs at the track when the car was pretty new, I did best by a good margin by just leaving it in drive rather than trying to shift it myself.

I guess I shouldve mentioned that it does this when left in drive without manually shifting the car.

I had a bad tranny that would not shift out of 1st at WOT. Don't know the cause but I suspected the valve body. As I did on all my tranny failures.

well today it did something even more interesting...

I was pulling out of a parking lot turning left and laid into the throttle. Right around 5k on the tach, she felt like she jumped into neutral and just revved. Once the engine dropped down to around 4k, the trans re-engaged again.

does this mean my 215k trans is about to bite the dust?
