lol what spare tire??? i have nothing from the two front seats back... i checked the spoiler it seems it has a few milimeters of play so i tightend up the bolts and it didnt make a difference so the mystery noice is still at large. can a broken motormount cause a click/pop similer to a cv joint? my front motor mount is toast and it seems like it clicks when i turn the wheel either on the gas or when the car is at a angle/hill when turning. possible?

then your problem is that the rest of the car is gone. the noise is the sound of the body dragging behind the rest of the car...

but seriously, I put rocks inside your tires. every time you change speed the rocks will make noise.

I don't understand why you have to post everything wrong about your car? You know your going to bashed for it and this thread shows us you just want the attention. Owning a car that YOU will have to fix AND NOT A SHOP means if it is not fixed the first time you have to give it another shot. Ive been on this forum for 2 years now and I spend at least ten minutes a day on here. BUT LOOK AT MY POST COUNT!!! Dude im sorry but your that guy that always complains about everything just to hear what people say!

Why do 18 year olds keep ****** with these cars?????
What is the mystique about a 20 year old car?
I REALLY like the part about 'its covered under my grandpas policy'......
My granddad would NEVER have done THAT!
Whatever....
The SHO is a OLD SLOW CAR by today's standards and I would rather he sold it to an SHO enthusiast and get a newer/different car that He can play with ..and hopefully get out from his gran-dads wing.
I have no garage and spend at LEAST $1,000 a year in upkeep using my local shop.
My 1989 is NOT cheap to keep running...but I would rather drive it than my
BMW M-Roadster on a daily basis!

Just sell the damn car already so we dont have to hear you cry anymore. If you cant handle it, then just give it to someone who can. Old cars constantly need tinkering, doesent matter what it is. You think the grass is greener.. Its all the same shit!

Thanks for the new sig quote!

yes, a broken motor mount can cause all sorts of noise and damage, including premature destruction of those new cv axles. you need to fix the motor mount before you drive the car hard, or you will be walking again soon....

Because the SHO is rare, and unusual, and difficult to service, it requires that you end up doing a lot of things yourself. It is financial suicide (not to mention destructive to your car) to turn it over to the dealership or the corner garage.
This is very much the feeling of a Ferrari or Lambo owner, but you get to experience this feeling without the quarter million dollar entrance fee that they had to spend. So you are in good company.
Try to work at one thing at a time. Solving things this way cuts down on the crushing stress you feel, knowing you are (almost) alone in your quest.
On any given day, about 10% of SHO owners feel like throwing in the towel (either after receiving a bill or having the car develop a new issue), but very few actually do.
Quit pouting and start solving your issues.... one at a time.

I think that Zach is a good kid. He's a little rough around the edges, but alot of that has to do with age, and experience. We all feel like there's a ton of crap dumped on us at one time or another (or more), but like sperold said, just deal with the issues one at a time. Trying to tackle everything at once will seem like an impossible feat and it'll make you wanna give up, but dealing with issues one at a time makes them much more manageable. Zach, I have to agree with most in this thread. Keep the SHO. You've already invested so much time, effort and money. Keep in mind that at least with the SHO you know what you've gotten yourself into, you know the common issues, and you know that you've got a strong community behind you for support. Going with a different car opens a whole new door into the unknown and you may very well end up in a worse position than you are now. Think about it and do what you want... just be smart.

Because when you're 18 20 year old cars are about all you can afford. The SHO has unique characteristics, handles well, and has good power (compared to other cars of the same era which 18 year olds are likely to own). Why shouldn't young people be into these cars? The real question is why are all of you old guys still into these cars when yall grew up when 60's mustangs were new? Why aren't yall more into classics and new sports vehicles? I mean, I'm sure you are as I am too - classics are respected by EVERY car guy, but do you see my point?
