Aewsome, we'll get it taken care of. Did you contact Clint about transferring the b.e. license?
Adam,

It was a pleasure talking with you today. I got the QH installed and BE running and I'm liking it thus far. I still have a little bit of an electrical issue, but I think I may have traced it down. With that said, I haven't been able to play with it a great deal, but I browsed through all that you gave me and I'm excited!

I'm still getting used to BE and the extra available items, but falls into place well. I'm using the Moates QuarterHorse right now, but when I get my TwEECer back, I plan to play with it on that as well.

Any pics on how the Moates installs? Im in the market for that...
No, but I followed the directions from Moates' site. It's pretty straight forward; the hardest part is installing the PCM back in the car.

Likewise, did you try out the real time updating with the QH?
Sure did! I really like it. Sat in the driveway and prett much dialed in the low slope in a couple minutes (including adjusting injector offset).

There are two tabs for data logging where one of them is very similar to the digital dash in CalEdit. There is even a dash view, but it doesn't look like something I'd use as it's pretty basic.

For the MAF transfer, I had to manually input the points by opening CalEdit and typing them in.

Use CalEdit to write an existing tune to the TwEECer. Then read it back out with BE. That's the simple way to change a tune from .ccf to .beb for use with BE.

BE has some very powerful tools for MAF function by using templates, to export/import the xfer function and the rest of the settings associated with that MAF in one step. Or you can just use the MAF import button for just the xfer, though we need to create the files for the usual MAF's for the SHO for it to be as easy to use as the MAF import in CalEdit. What MAF xfer do you need?

The digital dash in BE is pretty straightforward. The analog dash is customizable by following the instructions in Help -> Gauges. You can also move the gauges around. I still have to figure out how to add additional gauges, text boxes for KAM and add bar graph ones for HEGO etc.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe the TwEECer software works with the QH.

Agreed. I can't wait to give it a try to tune itself.

Ah, I haven't made it that far yet :)

Can someone discuss the changes that can be made to a stock car with the tweecer and this new-fangled stuff you're discussing?

Or are we better off just letting the OE software control as designed?

To add to that: The factory tune can be improved upon, however, it won't be a huge noticeable but dyno increase. In fact, it could *feel* slower due to making the curve(s) smoother.

About 5 or so years ago, Seiger (sighart on this board) asked me to make him a tune for his stock SHO (maybe it had an exhaust) just because he had a TwEECer handy and wanted his car to run to its potential. A few days later, he raced a buddy in an older muscle car that always used to edge him out. He called me after the race to ask what I had done to the tune as he was not consistantly passing the car he would continually lose to. Again, these were fairly close races to begin with. Don't make some adjustments and go challange a Dodge Viper :)

Correct, if fact I have disassembled the entire ATX transmission control.

And that is freakin' awesome, because that's been what's holding us ATX guys back from really being able to tune our cars. Messing with shift points has been all right and all, but these tables you're giving us here... I've never even heard of some of this stuff. I'm gonna have to learn how to tune all over again!

So in order to get this setup running, I need to 1) purchase BE, 2) purchase your BIN, and 3) get it all registered? Am I missing something here?

BE is $80! I guess it's not that high for what you get, though. I guess I'm just not used to paying for software! :laugh_ti:

PM me your email and I'll send you screen shots of the ATX strategy.

Lol not necessary; I can (and did) install BE and view your strategy layout without having to pay for anything; I just can't actually do anything with it until I pay for - and register - both. Which is fine. I really can't do anything with it here until I get back stateside, unless I buy two machine licenses... which, frankly, doesn't make much sense for me. I'll just wait. Not your fault. Osama's fault.
