I'd be in! If it's later this year, that gives me time to save the money and get the car in tip-top shape.

It was pricey for the summer months. And winter prices apparantley go up. With 20 people we're looking at 375 after the insurance is paid for. If we could get 30 (unlikley) then it would be around 250. 30 people together for a 40$ autox is easy, 30 people to cough up 250 is a different story. The kicker is not so much the price, but the 5 million in coverage required and the track usage agreement which is another fee. That there could be a couple grand.

So Im going to look over the shcedule again, and post some dates for those who might want to come solo for a or Nasa event.

Baird with the Audi would do Homestead as well...How many more you want Jay? Lets get a good timeframe and start getting payments. What is the track policy? 50% down and the remainder a couple weeks before the event?
I believe we could easily get some more people from our local car club and forum brevardmotorsports.org.

If you think that 30+ paying people would be realistic, and wont be overly crowded, lets put it in motion. I can guarantee 10 guys on my end. Theres alot more that want to race, but its tough getting people to pay.

Might as well do it with the groups that already have events there or any other track... Chin, Safe, NASA, etc. Cheaper and much less headache.

my thoughts as well. This is why i was so exited about gainsville, 140 bucks for a track day is unheard of. All said and done your basically looking at 10k to rent homestead for a day.

Thats about right. I'd pay the $375 or whatever because really...think about it... it is probably a once in a lifetime opportunity to have the track rented solely to ourselves, you know?
Jay, how many from down there could you pull to get 30? For $250 I think most of us would be down on here and I am sure we can get some of the die hard guys from here and even Gainesville to come down.
Its one thing to get in with one of the local events, its another to have the entire track to just us!

Actually with SAFE you would pay the same, including their yearly membership...

check out southfloridaracing.com

I'm sure some folks on there would join, lots of people in miami area on that site

I dunno if I could afford this, as I'm the only one working now, but I'd love to tag along, never been to the homestead track. I hear its a very fast track with the motorcycle race league down here, they easily get over 200mph on the track.

Id pay the $375 if I had the SHO track ready, which it is far from.
My Civic is far too slow to have fun on a track the size of Homestead.

Well in the 250-300 range I could probably fill the entire list. But anything more than that Id be lucky to get 3 or 4. It would be freakin awsome. Let me call them over the weekend about specific deposit details. I have to catch a plane tonight, Ill post back in a day or two.

what kind of power steering issues you got?

We busted something on the rack when we droped in the 3.2 like 2 years ago.
As soon as I fired it up she was dumping PS fluid BAD so Ive been running without the whole time.I figured when clutch or transmission replacement time comes Ill replace the rack, lines and Ive got a newer PS pump ill trhow on too.

I got a POS PS rack off that rusty car, don't know how it works but it doesn't look like it leaks

I would like to have the pressure ports/switch off of it though, hopefully thats not what is leaking on yours, let me know

you can have it for like 5 bucks if it doesn't leak

here are some pics of the rusty rear struts

I'd love to. I about ordered everything we needed, seats, cage, gauge cluster, shifter up until I was out voted on building the car. The vote is for the shop to do it and own it...I figured since I had a couple bucks I would do it and when we sold the car down the road I would get reimbursed...
I don't see Jeremie and Jason wanting to put everything in the car right now so I am just sitting back... :swing:
