Gauging interest---next track day date

So, what do you guys think? I know that everyone that went wants to do it again. The big question is what kinda timeframe are we looking for.

Do you want to do a fall one this year? My wife made a good point, by the time October rolls around it'll be getting into christmas season and we'll all be strapped for cash. So i was thinking about next march again.

I wanna get a good jump on this so we can have the full 20 car lineup and a whole day for everyone. Tell me what you guys think!

I know myself,Chris and a few others would like to get some track time in the Lemons car.The Lemons race is right after Christmas.

Sure, put me down for whenever. Currently fab'ing up some caged mounts for my car so I can have all the benefits of solid motor mounts with the ride of hydraulic's. Would be nice to see if I can break them.

Should be a cheap weekend next time since I won't have to buy a $200 helmet.

On further thought, doing this in summer, or between June-August, is not happening for me. Standing around in summer heat with no shade then running hot cars doesn't sound very fun. Something in late September or after I'm down for. All I want to do with my car in the middle of Florida's Summer is avoid working on it.

So I guess that leaves me down for something in fall. I'm in 100% if that's when it is happening.

I figured since it will be hot at least one person could bring one of those pop up canopy things for shade since that place is lacking. That with some cold drinks should make for good day.

I have a canopy. You can send in the payments whenever and we'll shoot for August.
Gainesville always has a nice breeze, even in summer so even in the sun it is still decent.

I'll start a new thread once I get the first payment...

After September I am just not into because of the variables...hurricanes...and rainchecks are hard for people to get, especially with hotel reservations and time off work. If someone else wants to step in for later and arrange everything, by all means and I will still co-help, just like I did with Chris.

All I can say is you better have a truck,those suckers are way bigger than they look.

Yeah, the ones I found that were downed around here were still hooked up on the cable and powered. If I had bolt cutters on me I'd have one by now!

Course, I had an F150 then, so hauling it home was easy. I know what you are saying tho, the damn things are like 5-feet tall. They only look small 20-feet in the air.

Im also paypal ready for the next track day. I completley ditched my power steering and installed an e36 m3 rack today, and all i can say is WOW. My van is now back on the road, ill probably be trailoring the car up- (unless we go down to homestead)

I also want to say- if at all possible we can make homestead happen, I can guarantee 20+ cars will show up. (not that its necessarily a good thing)

Jay, if you want to host Homestead, by all means make some calls and give us some prices. I think all the regulars to the track days would much rather do that than another Gainesville day if given a choice.
