Bill Strobel said:New headlights have a UV coating to reduce the yellowing effect. Over time the coating deteriorates and you have the yellow headlight look. They can be polished (good recommendations on previous posts, I would use the 800/1500 grit sandpaper then a good polish with some kind of light paint polish, then a plastic polish if you have a buffer use that with a foam pad after the sandpaper). Problem is the polishing is a temporary fix. Without the UV coating (now completely gone from the polishing) in a few weeks the headlights will look the same or worse. Then you have to do the work all over again. The only permanent fix is to replace the lights.
