ok, i got my powerdercoated intake from Chuck,

it looks totally different than the spare he had on the car. i really dont know what to do.
car started when i had it on, i gave it some revs and it died out. and wont start back up.?????????

the new intake had an open EGR port w/ 2 bolt holes so i fabbed up a oval plate to fit around it and put a gasket on it.

The back end near the EGR... there is a ****** port for a vaccum line, but the other intake didnt have this either. so there is no vaccum line anywhere in the engine bay so its wide open sucking in air.

im lost. this is my 2nd time putting this intake on and its been a pain in the *** each time.
i do know what im doing- it just is being a real pain...
please HELP!!!!

Thanks,
Bret J.

Just when you think you've got it bad...

...someone's got it worse (no that's not my car).

Just put a vacuum port plug on that ******, and you'll be fine. When youi go to restart the car, hold the pedal all the way down to clear out the excess fuel and try again.

You may need to install a ground wire to the DIS module bolt to ground the Ignition system. another thing is put the intake on with all the boots loose make sure the gasket surface is tight. then tighten all boot clamps. That by chance isnt a ATX intake is it? I sure hope I had a 3.0 Intake powdercoated. if not it will work you will just need to plug the rear ****** and use the metal peice you made. Update me.

also, if theres anyway to sand the powdercoat off the intake, the rear most bolt on the crossover tube, and the rear bracket for the crossover tube should have clean surfaces where they mate...when i painted my intake i neglected to sand down these surfaces and the DIS was not grounded correctly..ofcourse, in that instance, it would not start at all.

PS, i'm still in *******, i dont know if you tried calling me on tuesday, but i missed a call..we should meet up sometime. Hope the intake's all settled out. I myself need to pull mine off (for a third time), and check the bottom most bolts for the butterflies, i think they might be a little loose and causing my vaccum leak. Plus i'm sure my IAC and TPS are shot.
