Most likely your torque converter is falling apart inside. Chances are, it's also damaged the tranny with pieces of metal. All a fluid change will do at this point it put $$$ in the pocket of the shop.

HEY GUYS GUESS WHAT!!!! :) Today it ran like a Chizzamp!!! I had a probelm starting it, I'm not sure what the term "missed" exactly mean, but I am guessing it means that a spark "misfired" the cylinder. Anyway, I turned the key and didnt get a start. Tried again, and it started with NO problem. I then drove it for about an hour and had NO problems @ all!!! thumbs_u well one, I was driving and while accelerating the car seemed to bog down (like a sharp jerky "pumping" kind of feeling from the engine in motion)But this only happened once and for about 1.5 seconds. What could this be? I think it is just in need of a "tune-up" OMG it felt like I had a new SHO, after driving it like it was for 4 days. The car seemed like it wasnt even on @ idle, and it shifted and drove SMOOTHLY!!! even raced a modded integra (won). I am as happy as you guys are for me... wink

Thanx for all the help guys, I know I have been a pesky little poster lately. (this is especially
directed to SHOooo and BlackonBlackATX)

thumbs_u :D

okay problems are back...lol

not shaking @ idle anymore, just when I start her up, then the shaking stops when it gets down to idle RPM's which seems to be alittle too high (900-950)

problem is that it drives alot slower than it used to before this stuff began. It doesnt just accelerate with ease and smoothly roll on down the road. instead, it hesitates off take-off and goes ALOT slower than usual even when reaching 4,000. It SOUNDS like it is going fast, but it is NOT like it was :( shrug

anymore advice? I know you all have given me about all I need. THANX. But now what does it seem like?

2day I had NOOOO problems with my SHO. I came out from school and I had to try to start it about 6 times. Waited about 20 seconds and it started up. Took it to the shop to see if I had a coolant loeak. He pressurized the system and found no leaks. When I drove home I had NO problems!!!! it ran PERFECTLY?!?!?!?!!? anyways, if the problem come back, how much should I expect to pay for a shop to find and fix a broken fuel injector? Also, should I take it to a shop to get new plugs/wires put on? I know the chilton is wrong, but what should I tell them? not to obey the chilton? anyway, how much should I pay for this? (tune-up)? thanx guys...

I have a feeling it is going to come back...I seriously doubt it just corrected itself... shrug Although, maybe it was water in the wells and now the water has dried, therefore, the problem no longer exist. Don'y know, just praying that it stays as it was today, because I actually had FUN driving it again!!!! thumbs_u

I don't wanna be an ass, but you've been told about 5 times what do to about it. Run a cylinder balance test. Also, how old are your plugs and wires?
It amazes me how people think something serious is wrong, and all they need to do is replace their plugwires that have 100K miles or more on them.
I had to replace an injector, and it didn't cost me anything because a friend gave it to me, and I did the work with a friend of mine. I had similar problems as you are describing.

X-15 SHO:
hmmm...my SLO is doing that too and the trans is on it's way out because I forgot to check the fluid, but when I put some more it soothed it out a little. Try checking the fluid and yes flush it and put some fresh fluid in, the fluid is probaly the original and no good. If that all fails and the trans is still good all I can think of is someone took the car to long w/out a gas fill up and clogged the pump with all the junk in the tank when running on "E". I would be asking MAMA some questions about running on "E". BTW, I would never let my mom drive my car. It would be to much power for her and she'll probaly wreck it or F it up :D
Mom's and Grandma's.... oh dear. My mom, sister, atleast one girlfriend and her mother drive like twitching maniacs. I'd like to say it's a female thing but I'm afraid it's not. I think some of it is medicine related but my mom takes nothing. You'd swear the highway was a rally course by looking at the action on the steering wheel. The same is true for the brakes and gas pedal action. They decide to go fast when they've already let off the pedal and the car has shifted down. This behavior gets to me very badly and I have little tolerance for it and I believe this takes life off of trannies. I see it as abuse and disrespect but I'm pretty sure these people can't help it.

My grandma is gonna be in town shortly and I'm afraid she's gonna be allowed to drive my 93 tempo v6 atx with 106k. Drive great under my care and supervision but I think it's days are numbered once she gets behind the wheel and starts the honest abuse.

My dad used to be an avid fan of Saturns. I think he's been changed though. I blew up a motor and he totaled one on black ice and an old dodge truck. The atx trannies in saturn's cars are supposedly computer controlled and adapt to the way a person drives. The car was in the shop for some warranty work and the mechanic said the transmission shifted very strangely. I don't think I'm making all of this tranny treatment up.

Rio: PULL THE CODES! I do not mean to be rude but just explaining the same problem over and over again is not assisting us in helping you. That is the easiest/best way to see if there is an engine or Tranny (yes the tranny throws codes.)

IMO it is either the engine mounts or sub-frame bushings that are gone causing the engine movement. Both common break points in the SHO.

Just because a problem appears intermittently doesn't mean that the problem somehow magically solves itself. Identify the problem and fix it. By continuing to drive your car, you are probably doing more expensive damage every mile...
