Very intermittent wrench icon coming on.

Car sputters won't accelerate. Shut off car and turn back on and runs fine.

What is most common cause of this. The ladt time before today it was while I was driving down a gravel road.

He is right you need a code reader. By chance have you accidentally disconnected your MAP sensor at air box? And next step check plugs, bad plugs, bad sputtering.

have to check air / fuel / spark, but reading codes is first. may have to dig into mode 6 data if no codes are set or pending.

in some cases, crud builds up in the intercooler and then gets ingested into the intake, creating some amount of randomness in the events. more predictable under hard acceleration.

plugs should be maintained on a severe duty schedule unless you cruise on highways most of the time, when you can actually get the 100K they are rated for.
