Does anybody have an idea what causes this light to come on and makes the car shut down? I just had a lot of work done to this engine ( replaced pistons, rings, and valves). Then the check engine light came on for running to lean. And my change oil light has been on but I can't reset it because the shop broke my clock spring

Usually the wrench is attributed to transmission issues.

wrench lights are for critical events in major systems like engine transmission and safety for example. many codes will not set a CEL but live in the pcm.

Clockspring

The clockspring allows for continuous electrical connections between the driver air bag module and the RCM . A spiral-wound cable wraps around the center of the clockspring and as the steering wheel is turned, the spiral cable inside expands or contracts in diameter as the 2 halves of the clockspring turn.
