 That's why I've somehow managed to go 3 years without replacing my timing belt cover after my wife ran it over. It's a lot easier to change a CKP without having to pull the lower pulley off...

LOL. My car will sometimes buck, feel like it'***** the rev limiter (until it gets into a lower RPM), die, won't start, start and run for a second, die. I had thought it was my fuel pump, others were saying CKP, but no code would show up. Finally, it gave me a code after it died. Now if I start it, it will start, but if I floor it, the car doesn't go anywhere, and proceeds to die. Yes, I've checked the filter, and it's pretty clean. I'm just upset that I'm out of a car for a few days :(. On the bright side, I have a new 155lph Walbro on the way :).

Have you considered a cam position sensor? Not to burst your bubble or anything, but if the fuel pump don't work, consider that as your next option.

The one on there is brand new from RCM. Same symptoms before and after. After the switch, the 214 code went away and has never returned.

*EDIT* There is an ugly whirr and grinding noise coming from it as well *EDIT*

Fuel pump secondary circuit failure is set anytime you stall out the engine, IIRC. It's a common and unimportant code for MTX drivers. Possibly it's significant in your (ATX) case.

Matt (shokid13) and I may be getting together and and swap it. SPMotorsports said it would be here by this weekend via UPS, but like all my experiences with UPS, it's not here yet.
