wont start

I just got a 94 atx, and it is very hard to start it sometimes.. I have to crank it for a long time and sometimes it i get a loud sound like the gears are grinding from the engine.. Eventually it does start and the engine runs like new.. I've heard it could be the cam sensor but i really dont know.. help please..

The wierd part is sometimes, it starts just fine but i can feel like there is more and more bad starts than the goods..

Probably a cam sensor. You need to pull the codes. Sounds like you have a bad starter or a flatspot on the flywheel, also.

So many different possibilities. I would pull the codes. It will give you a better idea of where to start.
