After my car sat at the gym for about 2hours i went outside to try to start it and it just clicked and lights went out. when i turned the key back and the lights came on sterio came on. so got a jump from a friend and when jumping it there was no go. i even used a jump starter that i have used multiple times to start it when it was DEAD and it wouldn't start. Then when i took out the keys i heard a skreech from the trunk so i checked the fuel cut off switch and it was fine.

Dead battery, bad battery/cable connections, bad cables, or bad starter.

I'd start with servicing the battery cable connections and go from there. Test/charge the battery. Read the myriad of posts about the same problem for the last month or two.... use the SEARCH feature, etc...

Check the trunk to see if a screech owl has moved in.....

He he

Cycle the ignition switch a few times and listen for the fuel pump. See if it sounds noisy and is the source of your noise.

Have someone else cylce the key and see if you can identify the source of the sound, if it re-occurs.

Not much in the trunk compartment that should make such a noise. Inertial switch, audio amps, remote/keyless entry module, etc... None of which would normally make such a noise.

I traced the nois from the trunk to the keyless entry box. The first time i unpluged all of the wires my car started. after a few times i tried that it no longer worked. Is there some way around the keyless entry system. if you unplug all of the wires there is no power anywhere in the car.

Head for your local self-service boneyard and pick up an replacement module.

The same module from any comparable Taurus will work, there is nothing SHO exclusive about it.

I don't know.

Get in your car and go get the part from the junkyard. They don't care about part numbers and don't care how or why the original failed.
