I checked the 15 amp fuse on the bottom right and replaced it and still it wont shift, brake lights wont come on too. I guess its the BOO. I wiggled it around and nothing happened. I want to make sure its the right thing and if I have to replace it where can i get a replacement and what needs to be replaced? Thanks

Are you talking about the inline fuse all by itself? That's for the fog lights. AZ should have a BOO. But yeah, if your brakes lights don't work, then your shift interlock won't either. Try turning the key to OFF apply the brakes, then shift to neutral, then start it.

unplug your cruise module....then re-check fuses....then see if your brake lights work.

Oh yeah....have you checked your fuse box under the hood? May as well do that while you're unplugging the cruise box...

Get someone to watch the brake lights as you play with the switch and see if it ever triggers the light. I had one that the rod deal didn't fully push up on the switch, and I had to insert a little piece of cardboard to take up the gap that was there.

If you need to drive it, turn the key foward but not all of the way for the fuel pump to kick on, then put the gear selector in neutral and start the car.

Another thing to look at is the wires going TO the brake switch. NeedAPartCar's red wire was broke, causing his brake lights to not work. Lucky for him, he's got an MTX, so it could still move.

Have you checked the bulbs??

Yeah I got it moving using the methods you guys described above, i assume the brake light bulbs are ok since my "night lights" turn on I did check the wiring but it had some tape on it but Ill double check again.

Not a valid assumption. The brake and running light circuits are separate.

replaced the bulbs...still no lights, checked the wires, they looked ok but they are most likely the culprit since everything else is ruled out.
more suggestions?

*update
So now my turn signals dont work as in the dash turn signal lights dont light up and neither do the ones outside the car. Also hazard lights not working. and finally took a look at the cruise plug and it revealed that the right 2 holes are melted and looked like they exploded, dont know if it had anything to do with all my problems.

Cruise control module failure is common on the gen II ATX SHO. My 94 ATX had the same problem you're describing....though I suppose it's possible, that with all the other stuff that your multi-function switch went south on ya. Try changing that out and see what happens. They're cheap at the U-Pull-It.

After all thgat replacing I finally found out it was fuse #1 (after finding the fuse cover) it had a 30 amp fuse in it and after replacing most of the fuses that one wasnt replaced so i did and all my lights work now, thank you guys for your time and help. BTW do someone have a pic of what amps the fuses should be?

So to close the case on this, everything was working fine until i plugged in the cruise plug, that blew the fuse for the lights, and i kept replacing the fuse and it kept blowing out, lights all work now but no horn.
