wont idle

i cleaned my egr tube and all that good stuff i sprayed out the IACV... put everything back on i have to double foot it to kepp it started... i also have to hit the gas top start it.... i double footed it down the road much better throttle response then prior... it holds idle at 1k until i near a stop then wants to die had to double foot it to keep running did i mess up the IACV?:thankyou:

hey Matt.first is your idle air control valve plugged in?if yes then unplug it and see if this makes a difference if not then you need to replace your idle air control valve possibly.good luck

check the travel of the plunger in the iac.you can do this by taking the iac off and having someone turn the key to on.the plunger should open up wide forabout 2 seconds and then slowly retact but not shut completly.try this and see if your plunger is working correctly .good luck

Sounds like the IAC is bad. This happened to me after I did an upper 60k, I think I ruined my IAC while cleaning the intake. I replaced it and it ran fine.
