There is a plug on top of the tranny for the reverse switch. At least, there is on the MTX. I assume the ATX has one too but I have no idea where it would be. Either way, when you find it (it's not the one with the speedo cable and another plug, it's closer to the fender well on the drivers side), turn on the car (or just the key to the on position) and with a multimeter or a test light see which wire going to that switch is always hot. Then hook it up to the other one and have someone put it in reverse. The light or multimeter should do something because the reverse lights should be coming on. Then use a quick splice connecter, as to not damage the wiring going to the actual reverse lights, and run a wire to the side markers. The wiring for the side markers will be the same as finding the wiring for the reverse switch.

Do the Gen 2s have cornering lights? I can't remember. Shows how long it's been since I drove the old gal.

Anyway if they do you will want to use a couple of relays, otherwise when you turn on the turn signals both lights will light if wired together as described above. Diodes would work too.

You would need some heavy diodes, plenty of current there to pop most the standard ones.

wouldent you just splice into the rear lights (just before the sockets)? right into the reverse light bulb harness wires...and then run wires to some aftermarket sidemarkers mounted on the rear bumper sides...

i had a 91 ****** gt a year back, and i wired aftermarket sidemarkers to the front corner lights...just for more effect/lighting. however its tricky to get them to stay on as parking lights and blink as turn signals, so i hooked them up as parking.
