Upon further investigation and doing things, how should I say... :the RIGHT way", I now notice I only have .37 amps drawing at the battery causing the voltage to drop if the car sits for a day or more... down to 12.2 volts.
I have pinpointed it to 2 different fuses:

the Rear Control Unit "RCU" fuse (which I think is due to the aftermarket CD changer (Audiovox 10 disc from cdchangeronline.com) Any idea as to why or what I can do here?

AND

the " wiper and VAPS" fuse under the fuse panel. I did notice that by pulling this fuse, I lost my interior lights. Is that normal? What do I need to check? I do remember I had the dealership install a new multifunction switch a couple years ago. Could this be the culprit? What else do I need to look at?

By pulling both fuses, the amperage drops to .01.

there has to be a short in one of those 2 circiuts you mentioned....

try them one at a time... the Vaps then the RCU

if they both draw something then they both have a short....

i say short... but what im getting at is that the grounds may be bad s well.. or there may be something internally wrong with the MFS or even the RCU...

need to pinpoint the circuit that has the draw on it... then we can have at it....

and that is the correct A. drop. as IIRC that is for the ECM, and other small functions....

There's a fuse in the fuse panel under the dash that is listed as a VAPS fuse incorrectly I believe. I tried pulling it a few years ago and lost the interior lights.

indeed Ian.
Well just in case someone searches for a like topic in the future:
The fuse panel and the owners manual INCORRECTLY label this fuse circuit. It is NOT the wiper and VAPS. It is actually:
GEM, PATS, and RAP
Thanks to Paul Nimz.
I guess Ford manufactured the owners manual, fuse panel cover, AND the camshaft/sprocket all in the same day.
And it takes 40 minutes for the GEM to go to sleep. That is why I was getting high amp readings. It is fine.
