I personally went with the basic tint offered. There are higher levels that offer better heat/UV protection, but I didn't care to pay the higher expense.

LOL I really tried to NOT buy the expensive tint and I still think I got conned, but the "light behind different tints" demonstration got me in the end, I do like a cool car.

Wrinkles and bubbles happen from poor Installation mostly not caring.
All it takes is first out the tint on the glass and get a ruff cut as close as you can get without spending 10 minutes.
Prep is big for a new person to tint wash window very well get a sponge with a light scrubber not the green pad wipe clean then use a razor blade with wet window. Wipe clean with lint free rag or your sponge if you swipe in one direction.
Take these tips with
and everything should go good I suggest a cheap Walmart tint to try first
Tinting is easy till you have to heat shrink a large window.

Also key is having a sharp razor.
Key is patience, and which has been lost years ago

Living in the desert where temps above 120 are not uncommon, I decided to go for function over looks. I didn't much care for darkness more than I cared about UV (Ultraviolet) and IR (infrared) rejection. Also, while working as a lab tech, the way we simulated aging on our samples was to bake them, so heat accelerates aging of any physical material. I decided to pay for brand name 3M crystalline tint. The difference is DRAMATIC in how much cooler it is in the car. I even tinted the front windshield and sunroof using CR90 (higher number means lets more visible light through, so it is a lighter shade, I know, counterintuitive), the lightest shade available. This information is probably of little use to most of the rest of the country, but where I live, it is a LIFESAVER (not to mention dash, leather, vinyl saver)!

Super sport compact did a comparison seeing 40 degrees difference from non tinted and 3m on two cars at the same time they went out of business but super sport still has a comparison that they use just one car http://www.superstreetonline.com/ho...p-1204-3m-crystalline-automotive-window-film/

I did forget about crystalline and thought it was the same as ceramic so I have ceramic type on my car car

When I worked in that testing lab, 3M products were the gold standard to, ahem, reverse engineer. Almost ALL the projects being worked on used a 3M product as their reference standard target. That pretty much convinced me that 3M name brand product, if I could afford it, would be what I would want in most cases.

What does magnetic mean? I ask a installer and he said you don't need that in Michigan. What does that mean? Have black car and think I will go 35 all the way around after I figure out what magnetic means for window tint.

Magnetic Metallic is the color of his SHO ...or are you asking about metallized window film? This link will break down the basics for the different types of tint. I'm sure there is more info out there this is just a quick explanation of the basics:)
