Will this adapter work with AutoLogic LPM units?

Sorry, axianator, I just can't wait any longer for you to start your chip burning service. I have two chips I have got to get tuned and I can't get ahold of Ted. Anyway, I was wondering if this adapter will allow my computer to read the new AutoLogic (the sealed variety) chips. I have all the software and all that ready to go, I just need to interface the chip with my computer. I don't know what kind of chip the autologic unit has in it. 29C256? 27SF512? 29F040? I'd cut the LPM open and look but I don't want to damage the unit and they're damned expensive (for me). I sure as heck can't afford a tweecer and I have two LPMs (unless someone wants to trade me a tweecer for my two LPMs?)

So, as the subject says, will this read the LPM? Anybody?

I hate to say it, but none of the Moates chip burners (which you would need to make that adapter useable) are currently capable of reading from or writing to an AutoLogic chip. I've actually been working personally with Craig since last year to get AutoLogic support added to his burners, but scheduling conflicts on both sides have prevented this from happening.

Your best bet at this point would be to either wait for Craig to add support for the AutoLogic units to his burners and then purchase one of his burners (which can be had for less than ~$100 shipped), or scour eBay for a used AutoLogic burner.

For new information about my planned LPM services, please see this thread here:

Hey adam, good to hear from you again! yeah, I tried ordering the F2/F3 combo, and Craig actually called me personally to tell me about the incompatibility. That guy is really nice! I was floored by the level of service.

Anyway, again, bummer to hear about your decision but hey, life moves on! looks like I get to convince the wife to let me buy an RT

Competitive pricing, limited DIY offerings elsewhere, and an excellent customer service reputation are what sold me on the purchase of my Moates Flash 'N Burn chip burning package last year, so much so that I may end up utilizing one of his other tuning products to augment my upcoming array of TwEECer-based tuning services.
