Will the factory spoiler fit on an '89?

A friend of mine just bought a really nice original black '89. He is replacing the factory lace wheels with slicers, blacking out all the badges, but was also wondering if the spoiler from the Gen 2 will fit? Is the spoiler the same on the Gen 2 as the '91 "Plus" option spoiler?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

91 Plus spoilers are different, to the 93 and up Spoilers.
It wont work, just try to find a plus spoiler.

Gen 2 spoilers will look kind of funny IMO.. it will crack too if its not on there right.
