94 MTX I recently replaced the brushes on the starter and the battery is fine. It was driving fine except for a moaning sound something like a worn power steering pump just deeper. I shut off the car and tried starting it again. It started for a brief moment and burbled (like it was flooded) at 1K and died.(The needle on the tach does move) Tried to start it again but it wouldn't start. I waited about 20 minutes and tried again. It started for a brief moment and died. I did try pushing and pumping the pedal (seperatly) and nothing changed. I also tried pull starting it and it did the same thing. I will be looking at cleaning the TB and IAB. Any ideas as to the problem. Is it possible that it is the relay pack on top of the radiator?

Do you hear the fuel pump priming when you turn the key to the on position?

Have you tried holding the pedal to the floor? (Pumping it takes the IAB/IAC out of the equation. Holding it to the floor is like "choke" in case it was flooded.)

It could be your fuel pump. I was haveing sort of the same problem (rough running/low idle) but it stopped after I changed my fuel pump.

I ran the codes and there was only one, 542. Which the fuel pump either has a bad ground or is always open. I replaced the fuel pump and is now running like a top. :)
