Will my amp work.

I have an 89 Sho with a burnt stock radio. I was thinking of putting in a CD player I have and possibly an amp. The amp is a 240 watt 4 channel. Can i use the 240 watt and just turn it down or will i blow my stock speakers? Any helpful info would be nice.

why bother? Most aftermarket decks provide more than enough power to handle stock speakers.

I have the aftermarket connector for the power wires but not the one for the speakers. I don't want to splice. What would i set the gain at or around i don't want to blow my speakers when i turn it on. Thanks for the info all.

just to clear something up...the gain is NOT a volume control...do a google search on setting your gains to do it right.
