why wont my sho start

MY 92 mtx sho wont start unless i shoot a small shot of start fluid . Then it runs great until i shut it of then it wont start again.If this has happened to anyone else or have an idea of what the problem might be some help would be a big help THANK YOU MATT

Can you hear your fuel pump running for a second or two when you first turn the key to on?

yes i turn the key forward and pressed the pressure testing valve on the fuel rail and it shot fluid every where
