Eh, I'd add some labor in there too. A lot of people have learned their lessons the hard way, and I hope you don't have to. If you want to go do burnouts in the SHO, go ahead. I'm sure many people do. And many of those poeple may get away lucky without a diff pin breaking.

But, if it does happen, it's all over. Believe me, you'll feel a lot different if it happens to you. I thought I blew a pin yesterday after doing a little launch, as I got heavy braking coming home, but it was a seizing brake instead. I couldn't figure out how that would've ruined my pins, as I try to protect them, but trust me, you don't want it to happen to you. :)

If you can afford to fix it, drive it as hard as you like.break it, somebody will fix it. simple as that.

I drag raced my SHO hard a few times and you need to do a burn-out to heat the tires up a bit.

Powershifting it all morning finally cost me the tranny.

I think I am tranny number 3. The second time I replaced it was entirely due to a poor re-build.

The tranny I bought to replace the original I killed leaked like a SOB.

Who's doing the lecture? Learn how to spell before you drive that car again. EX: could air intake = COLD air intake, lecure = LECTURE, whole in tranny = HOLE in tranny. How old are you, 10? Is it your older brother who has the car and you act as if it's yours? Grow up with the food tray deals and LEARN your English. Dude doesn't even know when to use a period and much less a comma.

Wow guys..it's not even your car and yer gettin all hot and bothered over it. What is this, preschool?
If the guy wants to take his SHO out and beat the crap out of it, and then replace what he's blown, BFD. Let him have his fun! I wish I had the loot available to replace my tranny.

Sounds like you blew the diff. pin man. Start searching for tranny's and good shops, or do it yourself..Having someone do it for you is gonna cost $$$. And do invest in a Quaife. Won't blowup like the stocker & has a lifetime(?) warranty - even if you obviously race it.

NAH - Its a SHO Enthusiasts Forum. Says so on the door. These people aren't gathered here to celebrate each other, they are here to celebrate a mutual love of a particular machine. And when they see one of those beloved devices treated like a piece of **** by someone who would be just as happy pounding on some old Chevy, It ****** them off!
If you want to beat the **** out of something, then at least go get and build something that can take the abuse better and has a greater "GO VERY FAST" potential. A large, rear wheel drive, Supercharged fuel injected V8 was just the ticket for me.
Front wheel drive V6 - you beat the snot out of it and it BROKE? DUDE! NO WAY! tool

$1295 is the list price on the Quaife. I think Josh at SHO Nut gets a little less, around $1230 with free shipping. I've seen other places where it's like $1150. It pays to shop around, but we always encourage supporting our favorite SHO vendors! :)

Hey i thank some of your for sticking up for me, and i laugh at the rest of you, and yes i know chris r. just for the record though my car is faster. and i might be ********, however i am 17 and i have enough brains in my head to pull my tranny out in one day, which i have twice now once for a new clutch now for a new tranny. there is a long list of mechanical work that i have done to my sho, that i payed for i might add, my dad hates the car so he won't payfor anything or touch it. so i might not be as dumb as you guys might thing, p.s. next year i'm moving to north carolina and working for roush racing, ha ha ha

Well, If he pulled the tranny to put in a new clutch that would be a loud and clear signal the it is an MTX.

How the "F" are you going to get a job with no brains? It took awile for me to make out your last post. I wish I was a mod just for 1 minute so I can correct that sh*t so it won't be that much of a brain teaser. :D I know I wouldn't want you working for me and much less on a car. I would have to think about hiring you at a Mc Donalds. I'd be scared that you'd run customers off the way you don't make sense.

Do us a favor and search the net and enter "education" as the key word and do some learning. wink

Dude, don't feel bad. I'm very serious about this. Go to this link and it will teach you as if you were in school. I have it in the middle school level so you can start from the beginning and if it's to hard you can go back to the Elementry level or if your a little more smarter then you can move up to a freshman in high school. This link is specific about writing and I'll provide you a link in a bit that will let you choose from any subject and grade level. It's a great place for you to go to. Here you go:

http://school.aol.com/middleschool/subjects/language_arts/writing/index.adp

Edit: Here's the link to go to any level and subject after. Just click on the school level.
