Which plug?? pics...

Which plug do i use for my head unit??
i had both of them connected, but i blew the fuse on the head unit...
i thought both need to be connected... but i guess that only one needs to be connected?? also, for the antenna, when i connected the 2 wires, the red and blue one together, that made my antenna go up? then when i let off it went down.... should i splice these together, that way when the power is killed, the antenna goes down??? also, what is the single wire for, with the connector for??? its in the first pic.... on top..

ok here is a better description on what im getting at...
the red circles= which plug
blue circles= antenna up/down
yellow circle= single wire

my guess is the top one, (black) from what i have heard, that is the amp bypass connector.....
am i right on this???

that is such a mangled setup, I would have ditched the supplied "harness" that you have to splice, and got simple ones that just plug in. When I had my xplod I used an [amplified-ford-->universal] and a [universal-->sony] plugged right in with no ugly wires.

well sorry I didn't answer you're Q's.. You have an unamplified system based on the connectors you have there so there's no need to bypass any amps.... And every wire you have should be spliced into a wire coming out of the HU, you should have both of those connectors plugged in, one is for all the speakers and one is for stuff coming from the vehicle (power, antenna-on/off etc.). When I put my HU in I left the single wire hanging.

ok..
1st off, what is a mangled mess??? that connector was made by Best Buy, and installed by them... and i dont see how i spliced any wires, when both connectors are connected..
2nd... i got everything working. i had to unplug the amp, because, when i had it plugged in, and i tried to connect the black connector. then it blew the fuse on the radio....
so i unplugged the amp, both sides... and plugged the black one in, and it worked...
i had to keep the grey connector in as well. so both are plugged in, and working without an amp. and it sounds amazing!!! but i do have 130w 5x7s in the rear deck...

oh and the antenna, the blue wire in the first pic, that is on the top, skinny wire... connects to the blue wire next to the red wire... that controls the antenna....

but anyways, i got it all set in and its working very very well....

sorry about that comment.... but if you really look at it, its not a mess, and is straight forward... just looks that way.....

sorry, I thought you were installing it for the first time.. and.. I'm guessing you have an aftermarket amp? I just wasn't clear on all this.. I thought you were just adding the HU onto a stock system.

the spliced wires I meant the ford-adaptor-harness that goes into the harness from the radio.
