When should the fuel filter be replaced, how hard of a job is it, & where & how much are they? Loaded sentence huh? I just want to get the SHO ready for winter & just did an oil change yesterday so figured I'd ask bout the fuel filter while I was ambitious. Any help is great. Thanks in advance.

I always have heard 3 yrs 30,000 miles. Its easy to change its right in front of your passenger rear tire. They cost like 10 bucks and it takes like 10 minutes max to do.

i change mine once a year, usually when i detail it in the spring. make sure you get new plastic clips to go with the filter. the factory ones usually snap. make sure you pull the gas cap too, it releives pressure. a couple cups of gas will come out, thats normal. i would say just do it once a year, if you drive it a LOT, then every 6 months. its worth it for the 5 minutes(takes me about2-3 now to lie down, pop the two clips, pull it out and swap in the new one)its worth it just to make sure that its good and you won't have any probems with it.

It is a very easy job. It is on the passenger's side right before the rear tire.
