Well just my luck... car's been running like a champ then the day before I start school back up the CE light pops on for about 10 minutes & then goes off. Gotta run those tests tomm. & see what's up. Guess my car wanted me to use your little tester Scott. Glad though it'll costs me NOTHING

Still irks me though that the stupid light had to come on. Keep you posted on what it turns out being.

Don't worry too much about it. The CE light will come on from bad O2 sensors, or even an unplugged MAF (I think). As long as there isn't a puddle of fluid under your car, I'm sure we can help you figure the problem out.

Ok finally did the KOEO test & pulled a 1-1-1 pass code but then a 3-3-2 EGR valve not opening code stored in non-volatile memory during operation prior to test. What does that mean? Is it anything to worry about? Light hasn't came on since & car ran fine even when the light was on. Anyways thanks all & Scott that jumper is slick... I was grinning the whole time thinking I'm saving $50

Adam,

Check the electrical connector to the EGR pressure sensor module (that metal box on the back of the manifold on the driver side) and the vacuum connections to the EGR diaphragm valve and the manifold (that small diameter plastic vacuum line that routes to the EGR valve and the manifold plenum).
