Flushed antifreeze today... ON THE HIGHWAY!

Not cool... driving home from school when I notice the temp gauge flying up to the H mark... I pull over to find the top radiator hose popped off & anitfreeze everywhere. It's way cold so I crazily babied it home for a mile and a half thinking the whole tims warped heads & what not. I made it re affixed the hose & went & bought that damn dex cool @ $6.99 a gallon. Seems like everything is back to normal but wow what a change of plans for my afternoon.

It was the red one Scott & it was the hose that connects to the radiator... guess that new clamp was too nice on there

Anyways everything is ok but I was really scared seeing the temp gauge that high. Luckily because of watching you I knew what to do & how much coolant I needed. Tightened that baby up good & going to keep that hex driver in the car from now on along with an extra gallon of antifreeze. My dad blew my mind when he called you tonight. Glad to hear you guys are doing good. Still no word on a new career choice? Take care bud.

WHEW! Had me worried there!! Was glad it didn't get TOO hot to do internal damage. I know about that all too well!! I have a slight leak in my lower radiator hose that Scott and I are going to fix this week. Don't want to take any chances on catastrophic coolant failure!!

How are your motor mounts? I've had bad mounts break my radiator on my SLO and I've seen them do the same at work on other cars.
